Really cool little place, that’s part slice joint, part bar. We went in during the evening and the bar was full. It’s also dog friendly, which was pretty cool. They have some of the coolest pizza related stuff on the walls, so I really liked that.
Pizza was good, NY style, a little on the thicker side (for NY style). We also got garlic knots, but there was some honey on there which I was not a fan of. But all in all, a great place for a beer and a slice!

Pizzeria sapienza, in my opinion, is a wonderful place that’s Mid-City to grab a slice of pizza. Close enough to be walking distance to all of the things downtown charlotte, but far enough away to where you won’t be in too much of the inner city chaos.
The staff here is nice. The place gives a old school diner mixed with a modern-day twists type of vibe. Loud music playing in the background gives it a club feel as well. I don’t remember seeing any TVs on the wall for watching some sports while you eat but there may be some I don’t know.
One thing I’m a stickler for is good good portion food for your money. The size is here are pretty big and the prices are really decent.
All in all I’d recommend coming here to get your eat on!

Excellent experience. The pizza was baked perfectly, especially the honey pepper slice — truly outstanding. The wings were crisp, flavorful, and cooked just right. Highly recommend this place for great quality and taste.

Food is good. My only issue was, how you charge me for a sauce and I ordered a meal deal? Which includes flavor for the boneless wings. We Prefer it on the side and the AI that takes the order doesn’t alway get that part right.

Usually get a pizza on the weekend for the fam. This one was not that great. Not aesthetically pleasing as usual. The way it was cut, caused it to have 2 skinny slices. You can tell from my previous pics the difference.
No reason to have rushed this…

What a great pizza spot right in the heart of downtown charlotte. How to meatball sub, and a pizza and both were delicious. I got to meet the owner and we had a quick conversation as a fellow local business owner and you can tell he cares about the community. Highly reccomend.

To preface this review, I rarely leave reviews because I feel as though the quality of most businesses speaks for themselves. BUT I will say that I am a regular customer of this establishment and I am always blown away with the consistent quality of service and food. Sal the owner is an absolute gem of a person. He is from upstate New York and as a fellow northerner I truly appreciate his New York Style approach to both the food and service part of his business. Addie, the head bartender, is also INCREDIBLE. She always provides a great experience at the bar, with her constant attentiveness, charm and personality! Truly an amazing spot to either quickly grab a slice, sit at the bar or have a full fledged dinner with the family! HIGHLY recommend!!!!

In Uptown Charlotte during lunch and this place was highly recommended. It was a nice open space with lots of windows and light. I bought two slices and a drink…meat lovers. New York style pizza I very much enjoyed, the sauce was delicious though not overwhelming.
Definitely add it to my places to visit again!
