The food was very delicious here served very hot and fresh. If you like gourmet Latin food you have to try this place. I saw one customer ordered a hamburger and it was the tallest burger i think I have ever seen so there are choices for those who don’t like Latin food in your party. There was a kids menu as well. The atmosphere was nice and contemporary as well.

First time going to this restaurant it is pretty nice. I liked the music it wasn’t crowded. My food had no flavor my friends food it was salty. My other friend her banana chips that she ordered tasted like they were old. I asked for some sour cream, they didn’t haved sour cream and hot sauce. But then our waitress goes back and checks and says “I have some Texas Pete.” So she hands me the bottle, is not even Texas Pete sauce worst of all it’s halfway empty! I want to give this restaurant a second chance that’s why I’m not going to give it one star rateing. Hopefully next time i go it will be better then the first time!

Incredible flavors in North Carolina. This restaurant would stand out in Miami, it is outstanding in Raleigh. The sampler appetizer is amazing as is the palomilla. Don’t miss this restaurant, if you enjoy a good Cuban meal you will love it here.

I was always curious about this place and I finally had the chance to visit on a weekday , because during the weekends it is always packed and usually has a line. The service was very nice, most of the servers speak English and Spanish too, they are well dressed and very polite ,one of the guys had long hair and I wish he had it tied on a pony tail. We tried the empanadas and they were very good, specially the one with guava, we also tried the mofongo , it’s presentation was impressive but it was a little dry and lacked flavor. We also ordered the mamposteado rice with several things on it, that tasted good, This came with a piece of chicharrón that I was craving but it was very greasy and I didn’t enjoy it; portions are good so we ended up with some to go boxes. The space has beautiful decoration and the lighting makes a great atmosphere, we also enjoyed the music.

In my world, my idea of an absolute amazing time is a day of good food, music, and spending time with loved ones. I was able to get all these in one experience at the RED MONKEY!!! My first time dining at the establishment and I must say, I highly recommend them! Upon arriving, the hostess greeted us with such a pleasant and helpful spirit and she took us to our table without hesitation. Our waiter, Angel was definitely the definition of his name with a twist of humor which made our night unforgettable! His service was excellent, professional, and inviting!!! There should be more employees like Angel because he made our dining experience absolutely amazing!!! My nephew who has autism was given the consideration to not have attention brought to us and the way he was received was exceptional!!! Now let’s talk about the food which was remarkably redolent of its provenance, packed with flavor and hints of cumin, not to mention the black beans and yellow rice married well together. My carrot cake dessert brought tears to my eyes from it’s burst of moisture and flavor and how much it reminded me of childhood memories. The entire time music was playing over our heads at a reasonable volume, employees seemed to be delivering an exquisite experience, and we were able to meet the general manager, Seb… He was truly professional, clean, and made us feel like we were VIP! Thank you so much for an experience that we will never forget! We will return and we cannot wait! Top-Notch Service… Excellent Customer Service… Prompt Delivery, Fresh Entrees, and Professional Staff…

Love it! Great latin fusion restaurant. Try the mofongo and the tostones! Great variety of cocktails and specialty drinks, small batch of draft beers. Very friendly staff, Military Discount available.

Raleigh’s best nachos? Perhaps. But the food here is phenomenal and has some tasty twists. It may be next to the Cheesecake Factory but the Red Monkey’s food and non-cheesecake desserts are by far the better choice. The latin atmosphere is professional and relaxed, not to mention superb service from our knowledgable waitress Kiki. I’d highly recommend going here. I know I’ll be back.

OMG, I have been wanting Mofongo so badly and haven’t found a place that does it the way I want. This place hit the mark and got 10 out of 10.

We had the Beef hand rolled empanadas and special sauce that comes with it, and the chefs special mofongo. The mofongo comes with chorizo sausage balls and large shrimp cooked in a white wine, butter garlic and cheese sauce. AMAZING….

First time trying Puerto Rican food for the hubby and he couldn’t stop raving about it. Next time I’m getting the Ropas Viejo ( old clothes) and maybe the Trifongo because it has the three different meats inside it. BTW next time will be tomorrow.

The staff was super helpful explaining all the Spanish names for those I didn’t understand, ( I only speak a little bit of spanish), and we’re excellent in helping find the perfect dish. The food was scalding hot and fresh and made perfectly.

The bar is cool and decorated very Latin infused. They have traditional Cuban, Columbian, and Puerto Rican dishes mainly, and wow they do those with amazing style and flavor.

I will be back many more times.

This restaurant was quite a gem. The food was delicious, despite my Entrée not being quite as hot as I expected it to be. My guess it was probably because my guest also ordered alot of food and NY plate was made first before all of theirs. Needless to say, the food reminded me of back home in New York. I had the Bandeja Paisa which was exactly what I expected. Unfortunately they didn’t have Avocado to go with it, so they gave me Guac instead (and not homemade guac either. Had that pre-made taste to it ). I really can’t hate on this establishment. We did show up at 9PM. They close at 9:30. So I assume they were probably wrapping up since there were only lole 2 other tables, plus us, in the dining room. I would give this restaurant another try at its peak hours when I know food will come out fast and piping hot! I still recommend them if you’re looking for some good, yet pricey, authentic Latin cuisine

The worst. I looked at the restaurant for over an year on FB and IG I had to try the food. The presentation online is so wonderful and I wanted to try them to have them to cater our Wedding. The food did not look like the pictures, it was cold( the waiting touched it and agreed to take it back…yes he touched it) I tell you it came back looking worst than before and was microwave hot( remember he touched it). One of the owners came over and apologize and said their was a difference between the pictures not just the visual but the consistency of the sauce. She even took a picture of my pictures for her records. My fiance got the burger which was basic, we could have gone to Big Daddy’s for a great burger and I would have eaten. Oh, I did not have anything that night, nothing was offered and I felt like I was bothering them because I wouldn’t eat the cold food. 1pic online pic of the meal /2 pic what I received cold/3pic my fiance’s burger.
