Just stopped here on a road trip. Never been to Roy Rogers before I’ve seen the signs many times just never had the time to stop at any, I had to stop near here and get gas so I thought I’d try it. The gentleman taking orders was very helpful. I expected based on the name and some of the advertising about Cowboys that there would be a wide variety of hamburgers. I was not displeased with the menu as far as road trips go a shotgun blast of food. Anything from a hamburger to fish sticks. It’s kind of cool.
However, my first and probably only experience eating at Roy Rogers. I got my order from the drive-through circled the building entered the parking lot pulled the fries out and bit one found it to be room temperature. The next few were not any warmer some were tough and chewy, which is kind of a shame because a few had a fluffy soft texture, which probably would’ve been awesome if they were even warm. But even these were not pleasant still tough and chewy on the exterior squeezing one down in my teeth completely doesn’t even tear it. You have to bite it aggressively pulling at the fry to tear. The cheeseburger was warm not hot like one might expect if it had just been cooked but warm the cheese seems like it was melted on the meat, but had that consistency that indicated it’s beginning to cool. The bun was rather chewy more chewy and tougher than the texture of the feel of it would’ve indicated The bun stretched and tore most disconcerting way. I stopped eating the bun and ate only the meat and cheese overall, the flavor of the hamburger was very minimal. After the first few bites. There was very little flavor washing across my pallet. I probably wouldn’t have been as critical. Had the fries been warm to hot I probably would’ve still found the hamburger just as appealing, but I would’ve been relatively satisfied with my experience but receiving room temperature fries that were tough and chewy at times made me look twice at the hamburger, I’m certain this is only my experience and that there are millions and millions of people who eat at Roy Rogers every day and just absolutely love it. I would like to share Whataburger with these people. Thank you for reading.

Yea this is my go to place when I come through Front Royal VA!!! I still remember eating this as a kid. Love coming here.
Thought this place closed down when I was a kid. Had no idea they were still open here. Good food nonetheless!!! Had to check in!!!

The service is great staff was nice and friendly however that doesn’t compensate for the food. The sofa machine didn’t work properly but it wouldn’t matter because the cup are real cups they are tiny tasting cups for real? The food was not so great actually it was disgusting. I used to love Roy Roger’s and now I don’t wanna go back. And they don’t have birch beer anymore either!

We got halfway to our vacation destination and needed to stop for lunch somewhere. We have never tried a Roy Rogers before and wanted to give it a go. We like the difference options and we really liked having the fixin’s bar to add your own toppings on your sandwiches. The food was good and hit the spot. We would definitely eat here again.

The wait was ridiculously long! I sat at the windows for about 6 minutes before anyone said anything or took my money. Since I was on a road trip we waited.
Once we were created, the staff was pleasant, polite, and personable.
We were upset with the initial intro to Roy Roger since none of us had ever been there.
I would have to say it was by far the best breakfast food I’ve ever had from a fast food spot ever.
I’d go back I would just not expect to jump right back on the road.
They may not consider themselves fast food but maybe more like a quick service.

The Roy Rogers in Winchester closed, so when in Front Royal, we like to visit this restaurant. The food is good and the folks are nice. Real roast beef instead of processed meat. My wife really likes their fried chicken, so both of us are happy.

I really like Roy Rogers, but this particular didn’t seem as up to par as other locations. Its cleanliness wasn’t what you see at other locations, and the roast beef was cut on the thicker side. Although the food was served hot, I was very disappointed with this location. Maybe it was because of staffing issues, which I hope is the case. I don’t live close enough to know how this store usually performs. So, I had to say 2 stars, which bothers me, because in general Roy Rogers preform with higher standards.

I’ve always loved Roy Rogers. At this location- the staff is friendly and the service is great. However, since the recent menu changes and new recipes were introduced, the food quality has really declined. The fries, burgers, and chicken just aren’t the same and have lost their appeal. I’m genuinely disappointed, as this used to be one of my favorite spots. Sadly, I won’t be returning.

My bacon cheeseburger was delicious. It could’ve been slightly warmer but it was good. Fries were fresh and fixins bar was stocked. The only complaint we had was that we paid 99 cents to replace the fries with onions rings and we only got five rings.
