I also have to add that the playlist is absolutely killer. Chefs kiss on top!
Service… meh. My water glass was always full, which I always appreciate and expect at full service restaurants. But I don’t think our actual waiter checked in on us once during the course of our meal. And we sat for a considerably lengthy amount of time well after we were finished eating. I had to flag our waiter down so we could get a to-go box and our bill. Anyway, they were really busy and I think our waiter may have been alone or didn’t have much help. That may have contributed to the long wait and inattentive service.
Would I return? … Yes. Yes, I would. I’m chalking the poor service up to being busy and understaffed. I can look past that. The food was good and there were still several options on the menu I wouldn’t mind trying.
Service was slow despite only four occupied tables and two servers working. Our beignets, which we ordered as a starter didn’t arrive until after our main course. All the food was bland and needed more seasoning. I ordered just a plain pancake, but was charged $17 for the Peach Whiskey Pancake instead, essentially paying that price for a single pancake which I didn’t realize until after we payed unfortunately. On top of that, I had to ask for butter for the pancake, which should have come standard. When it came time to pay, we waited at least 15 minutes just to get the bill, and then even longer because they seemed to be training on their only register.
On the positive side, the server we had both times was friendly and polite, but overall attentiveness could improve.
The food, however, was not good. The east coast seafood bowl looked good online but tasted like multiple pieces of precooked foods resting on top of store bought tomato chunck sauce. No harmonious flavor, no “dill tomato broth,” a single scallop placed on top and more potatoes than seafood. Truly, the best part was the crusty bread served alongside the dish.
My server was amazing. He was very attentive and prompt. I just wish the food matched with the restaurant and menu.
I had the cosmo 2 days in a row. Served in a chilled cut crystal glass – from presentation to taste – perfection.
Staff was attentive without being annoying but right there when I needed refills.
Don’t hesitate- Make this place part of your plans.
