Warm romantic atmosphere. The food is delicious! Absolutely loved the Baked Hummus, it was the best hummus I have ever had. The pita was also very unique, fresh and yummy on its own. Great variety of cocktails too. The staff is very welcoming. Since we were celebrating a birthday, they brought us ice cream with a candle on it, on the house. Overall a good experience.

Was excited to come to Shalom Y’all having been to both MEC and Yalla already. I had high hopes, and while we enjoyed our dinner there were definitely some areas of the evening that were a bit underwhelming.
I’ll start with the atmosphere, which is quite nice and elegant with an open kitchen in the back and low lit industrial style space. It’s quaint and lively. A bit tucked away but overall a nice vibe.
The service started strong but tapered off as the meal progressed. Largely it was around how they serve the dishes which is family style but also very sporadic. We ordered fries for the table which the waiter confirmed with me about half way through, and then didn’t bring till we had finished almost every other dish. It felt like they either forgot or just timed things poorly.
The food was largely good except for the steak unfortunately, which also happened to be the most expensive dish. The dish itself was flat out cold, which for steak if that’s intended should be mentioned. Even if it is sitting on something cold I would expect the meat to be warm. The chicken gyro dish while flavorful was definitely hard to cut and serve family style which I think they would consider more heavily. It was just a bit underwhelming as a whole which was disappointing as I’ve enjoyed all my meals at their sister restaurants.

I don’t think it’s possible to have a bad meal here. The consistency and quality have been the same year over year. Happy hour is a great way to save and enjoy lighter versions of the same fare. Fresh out of the oven pita is always a delight. The falafel is always done in fresh smelling oils. Great place to meet friends or have a family meal.

Everything we ordered was flavorful and beautifully presented. My personal favorite is Shalom Y’all plate. The other two dishes we ordered: the chicken Kebab and chicken shawarma were also delicious. My favorite cocktail is the Sassy Pants. But all the other drinks were good too! Will be back next time we visit Portland!

I came here for brunch with a reservation and had a really nice experience. The staff recommended bar seating, and honestly, it’s not a bad idea at all — great spot to sit and enjoy the food.
The hummus plate was solid, the pickle bowl was tasty enough, and I tried the Persian omelette, which was unique and not bad at all. Everything had fresh flavors, and I appreciated the Middle Eastern twist on brunch.
Overall, Shalom Y’all has a welcoming vibe, good service, and a fun brunch menu. I’d definitely come back to try a few more dishes next time!

My wife and I celebrated our one year anniversary here. She is celiac and I am dairy free. The host brought us two separate menus with the items marked with what we could and couldn’t eat. Overall, great service, great experience and spectacular food.

Super hip vibe and tasty drinks and share plates! The service was friendly and fun. Had the pleasure of dining here while visiting Portland for a real estate mastermind with top real estate agents from across the U.S. The bartender was friendly and humorous! I had the Base Tan drink with Mezcal and super delish. Their bar menu is fantastic! Everything we shared was full of flavor and fresh. Definitely worth the visit!

I love Mediterranean food, and we have plenty of it in Sydney. But this was a let down, given the high reviews. The food was okay? The beet dip could’ve been smoother, the baked hummus was an interesting alternative to traditional but a little on the dry side, the cabbage was alright when topped with beets or lemon, but on its own a little heavy on the charcoal. The lamb was a little bit of a miss, with some of it quite dry and some quite good. The kofta was soooooo peppery – but after asking the staff is intended to be.
Good wine selection and nice vibe, but definitely had higher hopes

You know those meals that make you think of them for weeks after? That’s this. Thou must order the hummus, and the coffee for dessert. I won’t waste your time or mine writing a review of length, it doesn’t need it. You must go and experience for yourself.
