Spending the day on the Mount Snow tubing slides worked up an appetite, and the burger smells coming from the lodge were too good to ignore. We were seated right away and handed menus, then placed our order at the bar counter. That setup made the line move a bit slowly, but once we did order, the food came out surprisingly fast.
I went with the shroom & Swiss burger, which had good flavor but was cooked more than I like, even though I ordered it medium rare. The chopped mushrooms on top were a nice touch and added a bit of earthy flavor to almost every bite. The tomato soup, on the other hand, was thinner than we were expecting, and we were hoping for something creamier with maybe a few crackers on the side to round it out.

A nice alternative to the main lodge, if you can get a table. You order your food at the bar and they bring it to your table. Good burgers, self serve soft drinks with free refills.

The burgers here are incredible. Everything seems fresh. Fries were excellent and the mac and cheese is real. Of course, it’s at a ski mountain so the prices are high but you already expected that.

It’s a nice place to come off the mountain and grab a bite to eat. My girlfriend and I split a burger and Fry’s which wasn’t to heavy if we wanted to go back out on the mountain. The kitchen isn’t hidden and the servers were fine. I would probably go back, but after I tried other restaurants at the base first. The shakes did look delicious, but I didn’t end up getting one.

This review is mostly for the super nice bartender who let us spend the day hanging out and enjoying the view of the mountain. My friend and I were joining a larger group but we were not taking part in skiing or snowboarding and needed a place to hang out. We found seats in the bar area and the bartender greeted us and told us we were welcome to stay as long as we wanted. We stayed the whole day reading our books and drinking cocktails. Later our friends joined us and we stayed for a late lunch. The food was all very good especially the grilled cheese.

Good food. Fun decor. The burgers we’re the most perfect shade of medium/well. Fresh ingredient and the crew is pleasant. There’s a family restaurant area up front and a bar snack area out back. We were driving through and needed a place. We’re pleasantly surprised.

Nearly an hour wait to get food after ordering! And it wasn’t even crowded at the time. Glad we weren’t trying to ski that day or it would have ruined the whole time. The Mac and cheese was awful, like really old sour milk was used. Couldn’t eat it. Some of the drinks tasted a little off too. Definitely avoiding this place in the future.
