This place had amazing 24oz on the bone Rib Eye. The staff was excellent. Drinks refilled at the perfect time. Really nice fireplace room with plenty of space in-between tables so you can have a great conversation without worrying about others talking.
Highly recommend.

Last night, we celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday. This was our second dining experience at Carvers. I had originally made reservations at a different steakhouse (STK), but after reading reviews that the music was terrible and the steak was chewy, I knew I had to fall back on Carvers — a place that’s reliable in every way.
The atmosphere was quiet and romantic, and the music set the perfect tone — our song even came on while we waited for our food, which made the night unforgettable. The service was pleasant, and the food did not disappoint, just as I knew it wouldn’t.
My boyfriend ordered the 11oz Filet Mignon with a loaded baked potato and a Caesar salad. I went with the Tornado Oscar — two filet medallions topped with crab on a bed of asparagus, covered in béarnaise sauce — along with a vegetable medley, a Caesar salad, and a glass of Malbec that paired perfectly with my steak. The steak was tender, and the vegetables were true to their flavor profile: simple yet delicious, likely thanks to the way they were prepared.
We had such an enjoyable evening and left feeling confident that we’d made the right decision sticking with what we now consider a true classic steakhouse experience.

Best bang for your buck in SLC for a Steak House! Everything was delicious and perfectly prepared. Our server was on top of everything. This place is independently owned restaurant so it was nice to support local business. I have paid more for steaks elsewhere with low quality cuts of meat that are essentially tasteless. Carvers Steaks are seasoned and cooked exactly how you want.

Carver Steakhouse is delicious and a good value. They have plenty of parking and are close to the freeway exit. It’s nice that your meal comes with a side and salad. I enjoyed the au gratin potatoes.

This was incredibly overpriced, not a lick of seasoning, not even salt. I felt bored by the monotony of this meal. I had to stifle my laughter at the disappointing and comedically small salad. This was a meal fit for someone with money instead of taste. Service was lovely though! It was the highlight of the meal

Had such a fantastic dinner here! the lamb chops are hands down the best we’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and that rosemary sauce just elevates everything. We also tried the Brie and Cypress salad to start, which was light, tasty, and set the tone perfectly for the meal. The Italian sodas were amazing too—sweet, refreshing, and basically dessert in a glass. The steak was good as well, but the lamb really steals the spotlight. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service makes it feel special without being stuffy. Honestly, this is one of those spots I’d tell all my friends about because everything just works—from appetizers to mains to drinks. Can’t wait to come back and do it all over again!

We go here every year on new years, been doing it for almost 15 years and it’s always just ok but this year was horrendous. Waitress was not good, taking forever to refill drinks and bring bread but the main thing is when I order a $50+ filet mignon medium rare I expect it to be a good tender MEDIUM RARE steak. The one the sent was basically raw
It was gross, hope I don’t get sick and I should’ve sent it back but I don’t like doing that
Even when they took my plate I made the steak obvious and they didn’t even bat an eye to it.
The rest of my parties meals were mediocre, nothing as bad as mine but I could tell by how much they ate it wasn’t good.

We have some pretty good food at carvers last night. Started with the cajun lamb chops as an appetizer, why not? Very tasty and nice.
Tournedos with bearnaise sauce and veggies, that was good. A ribeye with au gratin potatoes, the steak was cooked nicely and tasted well, but definitely wasn’t a prime cut.
Managed to squeeze in some deserts too, chocolate decadence and a creme brulee as well, the chocolate was very intense, where as the creme brulee was perfect.
I would go again

This is one of my favorite restaurants. The decor is pleasantly uncluttered, elegant, with comfortable chairs, and a tall ceiling.
The food is beautifully presented and utterly delicious. The wait staff is accommodating and friendly.
Sometimes the music is on a little bit too loud for my taste but other than that this is really classy restaurant for a fancy date, business dinner, or family function as they have long tables and separate rooms to accommodate larger parties.
It is pricey, but IMO worth it.
