This El Meson restaurant is part of nine restaurant local chain, but has the feel of a neighborhood restaurant.
We frequent this restaurant about four times a year.
Today we had Arroz Con Pollo and Burrito Gigante , both lunches were plated well and the presentation was very nice.
The serving sizes was generous, and the seasonings were well done.
It’s always a pleasure to eat here as the staff is always friendly and welcoming.
The service is efficient but not hurried.
Beyond the lunch dishes , we also enjoyed Mexican beer and a margarita and orders of flan, our bill came to $50 and change. With soft drinks it would’ve been much less.
I can fully recommend this restaurant.

So good! So impressed with the quality and service. Quaint little restaurant with high end service and food. Should have taken the photo before I started eating. Highly recommend this location on County Line Road

Great experience starting with the service everyone is super nice and friendly. The drinks were great and so was the food. Forgot to take a picture of the food but it was delicious. If your in greenwood and your looking for Mexican food I high recommend also heard they have a few others around so might be one close to you!

Let me start off by saying I’m Mexican so I know my Mexican food and this place is terrible! The food has no taste, I did not go when it was busy so it’s not like they were in a rush or anything. Our waiter was super sassy. Super expensive 15 for 3 tacos yea no thanks. You’re better off going to “Sunshine Breakfast House & Grill” which is that around the corner and is really good and has Mexican food too although the name is misleading. I will give credit where credit is due, El Meson has an amazing presentation with the food but presentation doesn’t mean good tasty food.

Literally the worst Mexican restaurant I have ever eaten… the food was horrible & waiter was not friendly at all. A taco salad is pretty standard at most places….usually. No, their taco salad was just filled with lettuce….very stingy with the chicken & 4 whole pieces of shredded cheese on top. Like really? I ate the 2 or 3 bites with chicken and left the mound of lettuce on my plate. When I told the waiter it was no bueno, he just grabbed my plate & took off!
Wow just wow.

We had a great lunch experience at El Meson! The quesabirrias were absolutely the highlight—crispy on the outside, melty cheese inside, and the beef was rich and flavorful, especially when dipped in the consommé. The chorizo taco was another standout: perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of heat and packed with savory goodness.

While the ground beef in the taco and tostada could’ve used a bit more seasoning, it didn’t take away too much from the overall meal, especially with so many other delicious dishes on the menu.

The frozen margarita was a real treat—icy cold, refreshingly tangy, and generous with the tequila (in the best way!). We also loved the cute patio seating—it’s a charming, laid-back space that’s perfect for enjoying your meal outdoors.

Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving delicious tacos and a chill vibe!

The atmosphere is authentic. However I keep getting poor service and this is the ONLY El Meson that continues to do it. They keep giving me the white people treatment – Giving me flour tortillas without asking, my food was barely up to temperature. Not even sizzling when it came out. Cheese on top was still cold. The hamburger meat was cold. The worst part is they keep watching me as if I’m about to cut out on my bill. Not in a customer service way, multiple keep stopping in a particular spot in the hall and each time I look up they are watching me HARD. Will not be returning. Someone from Rockville Rd needs to come in and show them how it’s done. I’ve never had a bad experience at that location.

What an awful and horrible experience! The waitress who served us took forever to bring our drinks. I got up to ask for the manager, but she never came. I got up again for our drinks, but they wouldn’t give me any answers. Terrible service!
A place we will never return to. A wait of over 40 minutes. What a restaurant! And the waitresses were just chatting amongst themselves instead of serving us

Great atmosphere. There was no wait. We went to try it out, usually going to the location on Thompson Road. We will definitely continue to go to the Thompson Road location. The portions in this location were significantly smaller in comparison to the price. I was disappointed.

The service was slower than we were expecting considering the minimal wait.
