We’re from Tulsa, and this was hands-down the best pizza we’ve had in an extremely long time. Sam & Ella’s absolutely delivered — perfectly baked crust, flavorful toppings, and that classic, cozy pizza-parlor charm.

The meatball sub was truly out of this world — tender, seasoned just right, and packed with flavor. One of those sandwiches you’re still thinking about the next day!

And the service? Even better. Friendly, fast, and genuinely welcoming. You can tell this place takes pride in what they do.

If you’re anywhere near Tahlequah, do yourself a favor and stop in. We’ll definitely be back! ✨

Was working out of town and was told to eat here and WOW! Their pizza is absolutely delicious and I tried their special “cheese bread with artichoke sauce.. Stunner and well worth it! Can’t wait to go back!!

Was really good pizza. My man loved the “capps” (mushrooms) and we had the garlic bread with cheese (delicious ) we ordered a pepperoni pizza with pineapples (don’t judge me) jalapenos and onions and it was GREAT!
Will definitely go back again.

Just figured the name out the other day…..samandellas….get it… These people are funny. And they sell pizza not chicken freaking great.

We enjoyed watching the staff shape and toss the dough. We were taken aback by the large size of the pizza and side salads when they arrived. The food was delicious, and we were able to sate others with the leftovers. The service was quite good; the building is old and lovingly restored, but it might not appeal to someone expecting a new or quiet place.

If you like great tasting pizza, just go to Sam and Ella’s. Word to the wise, there is lots of cheese and toppings on their pies. And yes, go ahead and order the bread. It’s fantastic. There was a slight char to the crusts that’s just tasty. You know it’s coming out of a good oven. We were in Tahlequah for our state fire caucus meeting. It’s in a very neat location in downtown. Parking could be an issue during peek hours.

I hate to knock off stars for service because bless them tried but for a Saturday, they were woefully understaffed. I have waitressed before so I don’t take rating service lightly. We waited over 10 minutes for someone to take our drink order so we placed our entire order at that time. An hour later we received our full order. This is after watching other tables receive their pizza before us yet having ordered after us. We ordered a simple cheese pizza. We did get our mushrooms and Arti wrap out beforehand, which were appetizers, and that was nice. The food is extremely good, which is probably one of the reasons they are so popular. There were empty tables, so they were not at capacity.

Visiting from out of town chose Sam and Ella’s for dinner…they did NOT disappoint!!! The atmosphere was very inviting as there was a family and children eating and playing outside. Then entering the establishment it is very cute and cozy inside. The workers greeted us politely and the service was fast and great!! They even assisted in carrying our order out to the car. Now the food… is AMAZING 10/10 would recommend and would return if I am in the area again!!!

Came here very hungry and ordered a small deluxe pizza. My son ordered a meatball sub, since he’s not a black olive fan. Yes, I know he can request no olives but sandwich it was.

Kinda hard to ruin a meatball sub so it was good and he enjoyed it. Came with a bag of ruffles and a dill pickle spear.

My pizza was fabulous, if you like thick pizza. Loaded with veggies and meat, a small was more than plenty for me. Took half home.

The waitress was really nice, offered ranch when she delivered my pizza (mind reader) and also brought a lid with the box so I could take my ranch to go. Perfect for my hotel munchies! She even asked if we wanted our drink refills to go.

Lots of seating inside and the chicken/rooster decor was cute.

But just a heads up, there’s no chicken on the menu in this palace!

The food was great! Biggest downfall… 1 hr wait to get our food. We were told after waiting about 30 mins that an order had come in before us, and they were working to get it out. Ours would be out shortly after. Another 10ish min later, our appetizer came out (amazing, soooo good!). Then, finally, the pizza. Delish! And they gave us sides of ranch. Waitress was nice, but it would’ve been great to know upfront there was going to be a long wait. Definitely would go back, but plan time in to wait (just incase it happens again).
