I stumbled across the Curve Inn while passing through Springfield, IL, and what a gem it turned out to be! From the moment I walked in, the place had a welcoming, laid-back vibe—kind of an “Illinois meets Cheers” feel. I half expected to hear someone shout “Norm!” from the corner. It felt like one of those rare bars that instantly makes you feel at home, even if you’re just passing through.
I grabbed a seat at the bar and was immediately greeted by an incredible bartender named Debbie. Before I even got my drink order in, she offered me a free piece of pineapple upside-down cake. That alone would’ve made my night! While enjoying my drink and dessert, I couldn’t help but notice how friendly and tight-knit the place was. Everyone who walked through the door got a warm welcome, and the bartenders knew everyone’s name—and their drink orders—before they even got fully settled in their seats.
Curious, I wandered around a bit and found a full-blown adult playground just outside the patio door. There’s a tiki hut-style bar, dartboards everywhere, a giant Jenga set, a dance floor, and a full stage. It’s easy to imagine this place absolutely buzzing on the weekends with music, dancing, and good vibes all around. It’s the kind of bar that clearly knows how to keep things fun while still maintaining that cozy, neighborhood feel.
Whether you’re a local or just drifting through like I was, do yourself a favor and drop by the Curve Inn. The atmosphere is warm, the drinks are solid, and the staff—especially Debbie—is top notch. This is one of those spots you’ll remember long after your glass is empty.

No a single thing to complain about. I dont drink booze so sitting at the bar for the first time in a long while was fun. My food came out fast and the $5 bone in wings were the best. Blackened but not burnt. The horse shoe qas also very good. Nice goopy cheese sauce that definitely hits the spot and the ground beef patty was grilled to perfection. Such an interesting meal and im totally with it. As I was leaving on Monday night a cop was hunting around the bar creeping around very slowly. Nice bar with great food.

Had a great time here while visiting in Springfield. The black & bleu burger was awesome. Fries cooked great. Popcorn was delicious – reminiscent of movie theater style popcorn. Very good drink selection and bartenders very friendly. Will absolutely return next time I’m in town!

I often eat here at lunch, and am never disappointed. The meatloaf, the horse shoes, the wings, the steak salad, the fish, it’s ALL good! BUT Today I had the fried pork chops (Saturday’s usual special) for the first time. I think they are the best damn fried pork chops I’ve ever had! I’m not much of a night owl, but they are always hopping at night with loads of great live music and events!

Best Fat Tuesday party in town. Ami goes all out for her customer’s with a crawdad boil, shrimp, sausage potatoes and corn. Side of sweet cornbread and King Cake(minus the baby)for dessert. This years band was Robert Sampson he and Timo did a dueling guitars but off the cuff that was one of the most entertaining things I’ve seen! What talent and showmanship. Already have it on my calendar for next year.

My husband and I absolutely love coming in on Thursday nights for the steak dinner specials!! BEST steak dinners ever! Awesome service! Everyone is so nice and always there to take your order right away. We love playing darts outside in the beer garden. The beer garden is heated in the winter time also so you can still go out there and have fun no matter the weather! The inside of the bar is nice to! Big area. Drinks are always good! Their pickle shots are good too!! They have live music every weekend. Just a fun awesome place to hangout and have fun!!

Amazing low prices and fast service! We went on a summer Sunday morning and sat outside at 9am. Food was served fast and was hot and fresh. Coffee was refilled all morning: Large portions and the home made bread is fantastic! This place is sooo good! The best part is the low prices- you have to check it out!
