Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Swung by Whataburger this morning to get some last minute grub before this massive snow/ice storm starts lol. Today is 1/24, Saturday morning at 5am. Anyways, placed my mobile order through the app for pickup in the drive-thru. A very nice man named Thomas came to the window and handed me my drinks. And told me that he just started everything fresh for my order, and asked me to pull up. I told him no worries, to take his time! He came out shortly later with my rather large order of food and thanked me for my patience and kindness. And I thanked him right back! Got home and checked my food, and everything was made to perfection. Everything was correct, fresh, and tasted amazing! All the sandwiches were labeled with stickers to let me know which sandwich was what. (Something they don’t normally do when I go, even though they are supposed to.) Everything was wrapped up excellent. Ketchup and napkins in the bag. I don’t normally take the time to leave reviews… but I was very pleased with my stop this morning, and ESPECIALLY wanted to give a shout-out to Thomas for being so nice and being great at his job! (Also I believe he was the only one working this morning at this location) He is definitely a one man show! Lol

Whataburger’s food is consistent, but this location needs more staff to complement the good folks already there. If “fast food” takes ten to fifteen minutes, it has lost one of its basic selling points. Staff the counter, or make the automated kiosk user friendly.

The grill was absolutely on point with the Bacon Whataburger. A tear almost came to my eye when I opened it. Assembled exactly to order specifications and served fast and friendly. With the amount of customers that were in and out during my lunch the lobby was decently taken care of. That all out of the way there was absolutely NO toilet paper in the bathroom but I’ve become accustomed to carrying a pack of Dude Wipes in my pocket so it’ll be more of an issue to the person behind me than it was for me.

Every time I stop by the location, always issues and i’ve given this location too many chances;

Ordered 2 Chicken Fajitas Tacos and received 2 Big Ranch Wraps. Won’t ever be returning.

This was a very nice and clean place. I believe that it just open up recently. My breakfast bowl was very good, and it came with a reusable bowl with the lid to it. Only thing, I don’t like white gravy, but it had a good taste. The cashier was very sweet.

The place was super clean and our food came out quickly and hot!
The lady who brought us our food was super nice.
We don’t have one of these near us, so it was our first time having their breakfast. My husband really liked the taquitos and my chicken biscuit was good.
Only disappointment was it was like a chicken strip…. half the biscuit didn’t have any meat.

This place is wild! The girl at the window handed me milkshakes over filled and running out of the lid everywhere. Lucky, my wife and son had time to eat these while waiting for our food. The food was supposed to take 5 minutes, they said.
After my wife finished her milkshake she went in to see what was going on. She was the second person in a row to go in asking about their order, as the couple in front of us at the drive thru also had been waiting about 15 minutes.
I wait with my son in the truck and grab my receipt to see that it had been over 20 minutes that we were waiting, so I go in to see what’s up. The girl at the counter was loosing her mind. She told my wife she had a bad attitude and that in the state of TN she can refuse service and offered a refund that she couldn’t complete on her own. She actually had the worst attitude I’ve ever seen anyone have at work. I would have been fired on the spot at my job if I acted and spoke as she did. She was visibly shaking because she was so pissed. Bad look for sure. Lucas, the manager, came up after ushering her away and refunded our money. Lucas seemed like he had some kind of raising and I feel sorry that he has to work with folks like Violta or whatever her name is (See attached phot for visual representation of this employee)
We had never had Whataburger and I believe we will never have it again. I will share this story with everyone I have the opportunity to do so and forever remember my only experience with Whataburger as a joke. More like Whatajoke. We also had to cancel a Door Dash order that this store messed up 3 times about 3 hours prior to our experience at the actual store. We canceled with Door Dash so that the Dasher could get back to work and actually deliver meals and make some money. This person should be compensated also!

We went through the drive-thru at Whataburger, and it took a little longer to order than usual — but for a good reason. They were training a new employee, and I really appreciated how transparent they were about it. Not a lot of places will admit they’re still training; most just expect new folks to be experts on day one. It was nice to see them learning in a real, honest way.

The staff was polite, and once we got our food, it was definitely worth the wait. My wife said it’s the best burger she’s ever had — high praise! Overall, a great experience that showed patience, honesty, and quality food.

Ava, taking our order at the counter was not welcoming at all very rude, once we got our food we were missing the honey mustard and ranch that we already paid for so I went to get those at the counter after she tried to charge me again – she needed the receipt and the honey bbq she gave us back which i get but the manner she went about it and attitude she had was terrible customer service. The bacon was also not cooked all the way on one of our burgers. Atmosphere was just not welcoming at all.

The chicken sandwich was good but the chicken salad was inedible because it had zero flavor. No salt no pepper no spices it was absolutely tasteless. I hope you can improve the seasoning for future orders.
