Cafe Rio in Springville is an absolute favorite! Every time I visit, I’m blown away by the fresh ingredients and incredible flavor in every bite. Their sweet pork barbacoa is simply unbeatable—tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. You can taste the care and quality in everything they serve, from the tortillas made fresh right in front of you to the crisp salads and flavorful sauces.

The staff is always professional, friendly, and quick to help, making every visit a great experience. Whether you’re dining in or taking out, they make you feel welcome and valued.

I visit this Cafe Rio location once or even twice a week, so I know exactly what my usual order should look like and how it’s normally prepared. Because of that, this most recent delivery experience was especially frustrating and completely out of line with what I’m used to receiving in‑store.

Delivery Experience
I placed a delivery order and paid extra to have my standard in‑store setup delivered. What I received was not what I ordered. Instead of the two large tortillas I always get, I was given two mini tortillas, and the sweet pork barbacoa sides were severely underfilled — nothing like the portions I consistently receive when I’m physically at the restaurant. It was obvious the order wasn’t prepared with the same care or accuracy.

Customer Service Interaction
To get this resolved, I called the Cafe Rio customer service number and spoke with a representative who was not from this location. I was told that “delivery is extremely hit or miss,” which is not something a loyal customer wants to hear — especially someone who orders as frequently as I do. Despite the order being incorrect, I was only refunded the $5 promo code I used, not the actual cost of the items that were wrong or missing.

Rewards Issue
On top of that, the $10 reward credit I recently earned disappeared from my account and still hasn’t been restored. For someone who visits regularly and earns rewards legitimately, this is frustrating and shouldn’t be happening.

My Experiences Over Time
Because I come here so often, I know what’s normal and what isn’t. In‑store, things are usually consistent — portions, accuracy, and quality are reliable. Delivery, however, has been noticeably less dependable. This wasn’t a small mistake or a one‑off slip; it was a clear drop in quality compared to what I receive when I’m physically in the restaurant.

What Needs to Happen
As a loyal customer who spends a lot here, I’m simply asking for the full refund for the incorrect order and the restoration of my missing $10 reward.

I’m not leaving this review to complain — I’m leaving it because I genuinely like this location and want to see the same level of care I get in‑store reflected in their delivery service as well. I’m hoping management reaches out so this can be resolved properly, and I’ll update my rating based on how it’s handled.

I order tacos from this location almost every Tuesday and the service is always incredible. They usually have my food ready at the time I’ve chosen for pickup, but when it’s not ready on time they offer a free drink while I wait a few minutes. I make what I imagine are sort of annoying orders where I order a ton of stuff on the side and they are always so kind and do it for me. Return customer for months! Thanks Springville Cafe Rio!

This is why I hate ordering online. I did it this time because I was in a rush and set it up for pick up. I was already to my destination when I pulled it out and this is what I got…. why is there more sour cream than lettuce?.. and just sprinkles of the sides I added and paid more on. And the burrito just tasted off. Hate that I spent money here today.

The customer service was amazing! The workers were very kind, especially a girl with long black hair who gave us free chips and cheese when we filled out a survey. She was also passing out free samples of dessert. It tasted delicous. We had a very pleasant time!

We stopped for dinner and the food portions where horrible compared to other cafe rios. They were out of guacamole and sour cream and most of their other items.
Their fire chicken was dry and was covered in charcoal low-key made my food taste like poop. (but i’ve never tasted poop but i imagine that’s what it would taste like)
the food serving area could be lots cleaner, yes there where busy but they definitely could take a sec to clean up. and they didn’t have any empty garbage cans to throw away our food.

Went to this location at 12pm Friday, August 8. The manager there was constantly berating the staff, yelling at them for the slightest reasons. The rest of the staff, in turn, seemed miserable. It’s no wonder considering the manager’s demeanor! Completely unprofessional, and generally quite an uncomfortable experience for the customer. Grow up and treat your staff better. Unacceptable behavior.

What we just witnessed at this restaurant in Springville (store 133) between the manager,Javier (195), and an employee was unprofessional, inexcusable, and should not be tolerated in the workplace. This man should be fired. The employee handled the situation with dignity and grace, however she should not be subject to this kind of humiliation and treatment. Further, for this man to behave the way he did in front of customers makes me concerned about how he treats his employees when no one is watching. Please don’t let this kind of behavior happen. Certainly there are other more qualified and capable individuals who are positioned to take his place. Extremely disappointed in the verbal abuse this woman had to endure tonight.

In July 2025, we visited the Cafe Rio restaurant in Springville, Utah. We were heading to the Springville World Folkfest dance concert in Springville. We bought some Cafe Rio takeout meals to eat during the Pre-show of the World Folkfest. We chose Cafe Rio because we enjoy the food, pay favorable prices, and get discounts and reward points through their loyalty programs. Cafe Rio has been one of our favorite restaurants for many years now.
