We had the oysters, steak, and fish tacos. All the food was top notch and the cocktails were good too!
Service is a bit slow but nice staff.
Guacamole is expensive for what you get.
Chicken gnocchi is great.
After an afternoon of hiking the Matanuska Glacier, our server Ana A started us with the berry soda and Popcorn Shrimp which was very flavorful. For our main entree, Ana A recommended the 14 oz Gaucho steak which was absolutely just what I needed.
We also tried the Halibut and the Duck Confit Tacos as well as the Carne Asada Tacos. The Duck Confit was absolutely delicious!!!!!
And for dessert, we wrapped things up with the Horchata Cornbread which was unexpectedly better than I thought it would be.
Overall, I loved Tequila 61. If I get the chance to go again beforethe end of my trip, I’m going to try the Salmon.
Tequila 61 is a must-visit in Anchorage! We had an incredible meal here — hands down one of our best dining experiences on the trip. The food is authentic and absolutely delicious (don’t miss the tortilla soup or the salmon dinner — both were outstanding!). The drinks were just as amazing, and the vibe was perfect. This should’ve been our first stop in Anchorage and should be everyone’s #1 go-to spot. Can’t wait to come back!
We were satisfied with the chips and guac. The entire place should have been cleaner (reason for docking one star). Staff was very friendly!!
