This was a great dinner experience with the ceviche, the chimichurri steak, the guacamole, and the shredded duck tacos all excellent. Plenty of good draft beers and innovative cocktails, and a very wide selection and range of tequila qualities. Fast, friendly service and a pleasant spacious seating area.

Awesome venue, food and drinks. Great conversation at the Bar! I have eaten Raw Oysters in Florida most of my life, tried raw Oysters in Maine the summer of 2023 and now Alaska in January of 2026! I will have to say the Oysters in Alaska and Maine have the taste and texture the Florida Oysters had 25 years ago. Excellent Oysters come out of these cold waters! And the Tequila was taste too!

I really enjoyed this spot. The decor was nice and the location was easy to find. It has a nice upscale feel to it but still comfortable for any occasion.

We had the oysters, steak, and fish tacos. All the food was top notch and the cocktails were good too!

Food could be improved but drinks are amazing. Loved the smoked cocktails.

Service is a bit slow but nice staff.

Guacamole is expensive for what you get.
Chicken gnocchi is great.

From the moment we walked into Tequila 61, the ambiance set the tone for a relaxing dinner. The decor appear to be very well thought out and the flower bouquets are a very nice touch. The Latin music created a laid back vibe that made us feel instantly at home (we are visiting from Orlando).

After an afternoon of hiking the Matanuska Glacier, our server Ana A started us with the berry soda and Popcorn Shrimp which was very flavorful. For our main entree, Ana A recommended the 14 oz Gaucho steak which was absolutely just what I needed.

We also tried the Halibut and the Duck Confit Tacos as well as the Carne Asada Tacos. The Duck Confit was absolutely delicious!!!!!

And for dessert, we wrapped things up with the Horchata Cornbread which was unexpectedly better than I thought it would be.

Overall, I loved Tequila 61. If I get the chance to go again beforethe end of my trip, I’m going to try the Salmon.

Tequila 61 is a must-visit in Anchorage! We had an incredible meal here — hands down one of our best dining experiences on the trip. The food is authentic and absolutely delicious (don’t miss the tortilla soup or the salmon dinner — both were outstanding!). The drinks were just as amazing, and the vibe was perfect. This should’ve been our first stop in Anchorage and should be everyone’s #1 go-to spot. Can’t wait to come back!

Best food we’ve had in Alaska so far. Largest jalapenos I’ve ever seen in the stuffed jalapeno appetizers. They were delicious, with a smokey flavor in the cheese stuffing. Al Pastor chicken tacos were divine, very flavorful. Waitress knew I liked spicy food so she brought me extra salsa to try on them. Great food and service.

Cocktails were really good! We weren’t in the mood for margs, but their local versions of a penicillin and a sazerac were really strong and delicious!

We were satisfied with the chips and guac. The entire place should have been cleaner (reason for docking one star). Staff was very friendly!!

Beautiful atmosphere. Loved the decor and holiday decorations. Excellent cocktails but wasn’t brave enough to try the $40 margarita, and I am a margarita connoisseur. The tacos were good-we had the duck confit, shrimp tacos. The guacamole and salsa were good, but I wouldn’t write home about it (my Mexican mom wouldn’t say it’s good but she’s a snob). Definitely great for a date night!
