Funky Japanese eatery doling out inventive, hearty ramen bowls in a lofty, cafeteria-like setup.

Tried Nagomi Japanese Restaurant for the first time and it was a nice experience! Since it was my first visit, it felt a little confusing to choose from the menu, especially because some vegetarian dishes were unavailable. But the dish I ordered turned out to be so good! The noodles were flavorful, perfectly cooked, and loaded with fresh vegetables. The taste was really satisfying and comforting.
Overall, I truly enjoyed the food and would love to visit again to try more options. Definitely recommended if you want to explore Japanese cuisine

Nagomi is a great Japanese diner. Like many spots in Japan, you take tickets up to the counter to order. It’s somewhat cafeteria like, but the food is good quality. The flavors reminded me very much of my time in Japan. I got a decent amount of food, and prices aren’t too bad. The potato croquette was excellent with some sauce, and the ginger pork dinner set was delicious. The pork had lots of ginger and onion flavor, and the side dishes were varied and tasty. Finally, the mitarashi dango made a nice dessert. I’d definitely go here again, and it’s a wonderfully authentic Japanese restaurant.

Such a beautifully authentic Japanese place. I haven’t had such soul nourishing food in a long time. Most of our table didn’t bother talking for awhile since we were too busy slurping up warm noodles and devouring the utterly amazing gyoza with the chili dip.
Can’t wait to come back here with a bigger group to try more of the menu.
Not to mention the kind gentleman at the cash register or the sweet older lady calling out ticket numbers and playing our food.

This is BY FAR the best Japanese food I’ve been to in all of the US! It was the most authentic, like I was back in Japan eating in a hole in a wall type place, with food made by a little obaachan. There’s a TV, playing Japanese game shows and the food is all depicted in picture form (all it’s missing is the 3D fake food!) I got chicken nanban, but my driving force was to get the beautiful and tasty potato croquette! And when I tell you it was heavenly, I mean it brought me back to the little croquette shop in the train station, moments of eating Komeda Coffee’s croquette sandwiches, or when I had a cream corn croquette at YakiNiku King! The crunch was perfection, the inside was soft. And the chicken nanban too!!! I fell in love with that dish when I visited Kyushu, and again this taste brought me right back home. I can’t wait to go again and try something “new.” Also the yuzu cheesecake was divine! Very citrusy and it had the little plastic wrap on it, like in Japan! And the cashier lady had an apron on, just like the style in Japan, and she smiled and talked with me. It was a piece of home. Thank you! ❤️

Have know about this place for years and I finely made it here. This place has all the old school feels on an authentic Japanese ramen shop, which it is and it’s perfect. Everything I had was cooked to perfection and tasted absolutely amazing. If you are in the area I highly recommend stopping by

This place feels very authentic.
It’s sort of a “self service” type of restaurant, you have to take your order, place it, pay and then pick it … Ah, and clean the table after yourself
The taste of the food was very good, ramen tasted good, so did the fish and everything we ordered.

i really like the vibe of this place!! you write down what you want on a ticket after looking at the options when you enter and bring it up to the front and they make it all fresh! the food was pretty good, the ramen wasn’t the best though. the meat and veggies were pretty firm, but it wasn’t bad by any means and was a nice lunch!

I wish I would have found this place sooner. I gave 5 stars on atmosphere as everything about the experience was authentic to me. Never did I think I could get a bowl of ramen or Udon that mirrored the flavors and experience of places in NYC and my visits to Japan. Oh, also, we have a new sesame allergy we are dealing with and so grateful for their labeling and communication to make it possible to eat such a variety. Thank you so much!

I love the environment and the food from this restaurant! I ordered chicken katsu curry and popcorn chicken, and it was delicious. However, their service could have been better. For this place, you would usually have to pick up your order from the counter to take to your seat. I waited in a table for a while and then stood near the counter with my receipt, expecting it to be ready soon. I felt that I waited unusually long as the rest of my friends had gotten their food. I asked one of the workers but he claimed they had released my order a while ago. Apparently someone had already taken my food when I was still at the table. I was a bit annoyed, but was fine with waiting to get my new batch of food that I was supposed to have earlier. I do not have any anger towards anyone, but just for future reference for the staff, please check receipts before allowing people to take food off the counter. I really like this place but I would not want this occurrence to happen again for others. It would not look good if people’s orders can get easily taken. Overall, love the restaurant and hope it grows! Just have more measures to ensure no mishaps would occur

We decided to try this restaurant after seeing it on fb as authentic. Don’t get me wrong, the food portions were very good for what you pay for, however, the organization/layout of everything could be a lot better. First, the way you order is on your way to the cashier but it’s a narrow walkway with the entire menu spread out on one side. Customers and staff are constantly bumping into one another due to this while you are trying to pick what you want to eat that you have to mark on small sheets of paper. If you order multiple things, not everything comes out all at once but they do work quickly to make sure the majority does. What we ordered, minus the sushi, was very enjoyable. Sushi was just ok. Everything tasted fresh.
