TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A.
In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I had really high expectations for this place but unfortunately, it disappointed me. Don’t get me wrong the place looks amazing and the service was good, however, the mild chickens powder had a bad taste. Yes I understand that was what made it spicy, but it was a bad taste. I was happy with the fries but then when I ate more, I found out they had spice on the fries. I like spicy food as much as the next guy but when they gave me bread to cool it down, it had spice on it. They over boarded the hell out of the spice for this place. Also for some reason give you pickles. Also the Dave’s sauce was very mid. This place is also very overpriced for how disappointing it is. All and all, this place was disappointing for how high my expectations were

I had a terrible experience at Dave’s. The food arrived cold, the fries were soggy, and the saucy bites with Mike’s Hot Honey were placed upside down in the bag, causing the sauce to spill everywhere and ruin the rest of our order. The ranch I paid for was missing entirely, and the mac and cheese container was barely a quarter full — literally two bites and it was gone.
After being asked to complete a survey, I detailed these issues and received nothing more than a generic apology stating that they “missed the mark.” That response is unacceptable given the number of things that went wrong. It reflects terrible customer service, a lack of accountability, and how little concern there seems to be for the customer experience.
Considering the price of the food and the complete lack of care shown by upper management, I will not be returning — especially when there are many great fast food places nearby that value their customers far more.

Dave’s in Milford is absolutely wonderful. Ordering in the app cuts down wait time, but realize they make it when you order it; so prepare to wait 10-15 mins if you order in store. It’s fresh and super good.
Chicken quality is legit and the sliders are super big; picture 1 slider equals a typical chicken sandwich at another restaurant.
Just tried the fried mozzarella as it’s Friday and lent so I don’t eat meat; absolutely great addition to the menus.

The workers were pleasant & very efficient! Let me make clear, they were GREAT, considering the fact they’re overworked & understaffed in the front. The Dave’s hot chicken sauce is def a yummy option, just a great balance between spicy & sweet. HOWEVER! It took LITERALLY over 45 to get chicken & cheese fries… The chicken itself was a real letdown. Chicken was overcooked, extremely dry & honestly flavorless, which shocked me because there’s so much hype behind the franchises. The restaurant was also VERY dirty and SO STICKY, but that can be because it was packed & had a bunch of teenagers hanging out there. There were also no available spaces in the parking lot, so maybe set up a few for “take-out…” That would be much more convenient. Just wish we went to get dinner elsewhere, to be honest. I wouldn’t eat here again, (but I LOVE the fact that they have honey packets and the Dave’s sauce is decent as well!) That new fruity pebbles milkshake was also calling my name, but I’m glad I didn’t because it would have been completely warmed up after that 45+ min wait… There are so many better options for dinner in Milford, so I definitely would take a drive down the post & find a favorite haunt instead. Solid employees with smiles, doing EVERYTHING that the job demands. But food, long-wait, & cleanliness is a fail. Hope that helps my friends! <3

I had never been to a location before, and was a little nervous to try. Immediately Tychelle at the counter was very friendly and super helpful with the menu. I came here with my grandpa who cannot handle spice, and he was very pleased with the customer service and options provided. We got sliders and fries, the potato bun was delicious and Dave’s sauce was very great with everything. Not sure about some reviews talking about soggy fries, that’s why you pick up your own food! As first time customers we were definitely surprised, happy, and will be coming back.

Too many noises from the reception area. Not able to enjoy our meal peacefully. The guy has a big mouth speaks to his top of his voice. Felt irritated waiting for my order. Will not recommended the atmosphere. The voices in the video are just a sample to back my comments..
Thanks.

My man Jay at the counter was probably the nicest guy Ive ever met at a fast food place. Came in at 10:30 and still greeted us cheerfully, was super chill and friendly, and bade us goodbye when we left an hour later. 10/10 experience, honestly couldn’t ask for anything more. Man made my night, will come back.

I had an amazing experience at Dave’s Hot Chicken, and a huge part of that was thanks to Ryan. From the moment I walked in, Ryan brought nothing but great energy, professionalism, and top-tier customer service. He was friendly, patient, and made sure my order was exactly right, all while keeping a positive vibe even during a busy rush.
It’s rare to see someone who genuinely cares about the customer experience, but Ryan definitely does. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and that kind of service makes you want to come back again and again. The food was fire as always, but Ryan’s attitude and attention really took the visit to another level.
Dave’s Hot Chicken is lucky to have him, give that man a raise. I’ll definitely be back!

This was my first time at Dave’s Hot Chicken. The atmosphere was inviting and a creative space. The restaurant had a good floor plan to sit down and dine at. The food selection was good as well.
When it came to the food, they had plenty of options. I chose the number 3 that has the sandwich and single tender with fries. The chicken had great seasoning and a great crisp and crunch when biting into it. The fries were okay as well, especially when you add the Dave’s sauce on them. The sandwich came in a brioche bun. And the seasoning level I got was mild. When I compare it to Heaven Hot Chicken I would say that Dave’s is point above and that goes to the fact the chicken tasted more authentic and you can tell they brined it very well. The quality of everything was great and was not greasy at all.
As for the price, everything was fair. I paid around 15-20$ for everything as I did not get a soft drink and opted for a water.
All and all, the restaurant was clean and tidy with a show of futuristic-creative paintings. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. And the food was delicious.
