Glad we stopped in for lunch after hiking. Good, quick service by Hannah, who made sure we always had a cold beverage. Food was tasty, nicely prepared, and lots of it. Large menu for food and equally as large menu for drinks. Both indoor and outdoor seating with ample parking. I imagine it gets busy here during high season. But in low season, the place is yours! So, go and enjoy as much as we did!!

It was a dreary, foggy morning in the flatlands. I hopped in the truck and cruised up 41 to Coarsegold where it was sunny and warm!
I ended up at South Gate. I was greeted right away and chose to sit outside, nice patio, perfect weather.
My server, Heather was awesome. She
recommended the Glacier Point IPA and I went with the BBQ burger, both were fantastic. The weather and the ambiance/service ano tasty burger turned my foggy day into a great afternoon. I will absolutely be back. both for the food and the friendly
atmosphere… oh, and get the garlic fries, they were nice and garlic, perfection.

This was a perfect post-Yosemite dinner. We sat at the bar and enjoyed it so much we dined here two nights in a row. I believe it was Dave who served us and he was wonderful. Really attentive and overall great customer service. I ordered the Pickle Rick beer and loved it so much I ordered two tall cans to go so I can have it when I return home. We also ordered the buffalo wings with the IPA got sauce and a burger. I came back for the pickle Rick beer I wish they had this in LA!!

We tried every single beer and not one of them disappointed. The pecan pie brown beer and the pale ale stood out for us. We came every night after hiking around Yosemite. Rare to find a place with amazing beer AND food. Everything we tried was delicious. On top of that, great waiters. We’ll for sure make a trip back.

Had a chance to visit South Gate Brewing Company on our last day of a Yosemite trip. I’m so glad we did. They have a large selection of beer made in the facility and the food was amazing. The brussel sprouts were out of this world. The Mountaineer pizza is amazing with a perfect crust. The fish and chips is excellent with perfect fries. I highly recommend any of these dishes.

We really enjoyed our visit. The food was tasty, filling and served with a friendly welcome. The team were nice and the whole place had a great atmosphere it was totally packed. Wise to book in advance if you have time.

Good black bean burger – it is vegetarian with no egg so worked great for us! House organic salad was good but did not have any veggie protein like beans or tofu.

The food here was really good!!! Plenty of beers and beverages to choose from too. Service was friendly and attentive. We stopped here on the way to check into our Airbnb and would definitely come back if we were in the area again. Cute patio space with games, conveniently located right off the highway.

Myself and my partner ate here 4 times in 3 days whilst staying in Yosemite Valley (3x for dinner and once for lunch). We ordered a different meal every time and tried several of the craft beers. Every meal and beverage was absolutely delicious. The service was impeccable every single time, all of the staff were so welcoming and attentive. It’s been a highlight of our holiday in the USA and we would whole-heartedly recommend it to anybody.

We went twice during our Yosemite vacation due to the close proximity of our lodging. The prices were typical for California. Great food (seriously the best sweet potato fries I’ve ever had), good beer and super nice staff. I left my credit card on our second visit and the staff were on it to keep it safe until I got back.
