One of our favorite meals while visiting Bar Harbor was at Testa’s. They were open late, which was perfect for us after a full day of hiking and swimming in Acadia National Park.

Our coastal feast included fresh local oysters, the incredibly delicious lobster mac and cheese, fish tacos, and (according to my daughters) the true star of the show: the Rasta Pasta. It’s been a year and a half since our visit, and they still talk about that dish.

We hope to make it back again someday!

This was a restaurant that jumped out at us. We were taken to the second floor and got the corner table with good window views of the harbor.

We ordered the lobster grilled cheese, clam chowder, and tomato soup and grilled cheese. The food came out hot and the presentation was very good. We also observed a number of other table with lobster dinners. The food was very good. As you would expect the lobster was marked price. The service was very good.

We walked to the restaurant, but parking was limited. I would recommend this spot in town.

This is our second year coming to eat at Testas, we love the food here last year I had a sea food Alfredo with blueberry wings which were delish. This year I ordered a lobster which was also very delish. The service was great and so was the atmosphere. I think the price is fair for what you get but its subjective. Coming to eat at Testas will become a yearly tradition for us.

I came here for a quick meal after exploring Acadia national park and had a great experience. Our waitress was friendly and very helpful. We got a bowl of clam chowder and some steamers. Food and water came out promptly. I enjoyed the chowder which was hearty and full of clams, while the steamers were fresh although a bit on the small side. This is a solid place for a quick meal before leaving Bar Harbor.

We had the best experience here! Our server was so sweet and helpful, and ensured we had a heater near our table so we could dine with our doggo. We ordered off the dog menu for our Dolly Parton, and she was treated like a queen! We also loved our meals (lobster roll and salad topped with roasted chicken). Would return and highly recommend if you’re in Bar Harbor!

We had an amazing meal at this spot, hands down the best oysters and New England clam chowder we’ve ever tasted!

The service was top-notch; our waitress was friendly, attentive, and brought some laughs. My wife loved the lobster roll, and the fries were a hit.
I went for the lobster grilled cheese, and it was fantastic.

The drinks were strong, and to top it off, the ladies at the bar and booth next to us were raving comically about the food and drinks when we arrived!

The price stung a bit at $160 after tip and tax for two (appetizer, two entrees, one drink), but being tourists, we figured it’s par for the course. Totally worth it for the food!

This place is awesome! All food we had today was delicious. Our server Sammy was very friendly and professional. She helped us with our choices. Haddock fish and lobster meals was the best! This restaurant is also dog friendly and you don’t have to eat outside with your pup, which is very important when is cold outside. Great place!

Testa’s Bar & Grill in Bar Harbor served a delicious soup, salad, and sandwich combo that was quite filling—the roasted pepper and tomato basil soup was especially tasty. The lobster rolls were fresh and popular with my table, and the homemade chips paired perfectly with our sandwiches. The haddock sandwich was also a standout, and service was friendly throughout our visit. Great spot for classic Maine seafood and a comfortable, welcoming vibe. Great service as well.

We sat near the bar in a booth instead of walking upstairs because we had a long day. The hostess reassured us it was not a problem. However, our waiter who I believe was also the bartender “Andre” never introduced himself, seemed rushed, and really wasn’t our waiter. Several other people waited on us fragmentally. We specifically stated we were sharing an entree after buying two alcohol beverages and a small plate, yet we had to flag down another worker to get a second plate. Then we had to flag down a third person to get us salt & pepper. And yet a fourth person offered us desert & took our check to Andre. While Andre was entertaining people fantastically at the bar we were completely ignored by him, our waiter! As far as the food: our coconut shrimp were good and especially the Thai Blueberry sauce. The $36 seafood Alfredo had a tasty sauce and the bread was delicious, however the amount of lobster & scallops was disappointing. It should be called shrimp Alfredo because it was filled with numerous tiny shrimp, one piece of lobster, and maybe two scallops. We would not recommend Testa’s to anyone & we won’t be back next time we are in town! Do yourself a favor a try Parilla or Leary’s! Both had amazing food & service.
