Been here a few times and these guys are primarily famous for their poke. However, you shouldn’t discount the other things they server. This last time i got their pesto pork and it might be some of the best pork i have ever had. As always will be stopping here often.

Tanioka is famous for their poke, and for good reason. The volcano and onion limu poke are both top notch, incredibly fresh and flavorful. But don’t sleep on their plate lunches! I got the pork belly plate and was genuinely taken aback at how good it was. The pork was super tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. Everything here hits the spot.

Taniokas is a legendary poke and local foods spot on the island. The options of types of food are incredible and is perfect for something on the go or catering for a party. The poke was great!! It is definitely a must if you are on the island.

Poke here was fresh but a bit too salty. If you ran out of rice to balance the poke, then it’s over for you. Large bowls for the price.

I stopped in as a bucket list item since I’d heard so much about Tanioka’s and saw POV Husband from social media went here recently. I got there just after opening on a Thursday and it was a quick visit. The staff is awesome and it helped that I reviewed their menu online and had a list. I would very highly recommend doing this, it’s a small place and having your order in hand before you arrive keeps you moving quickly so you don’t hold up the other customers. The staff are absolute rock stars at working together to put your order together and get you checked out and on your way. I picked up the Volcano Alae Ahi, Spicy Ahi, and Wasabi Miso Tako poke and all were fresh and tasty. I also picked up the corned beef hash patty, shrimp stick, and the regular fried chicken, garlic fried chicken, and the Mochiko chicken. The corned beef has patty is a little pillow of happiness for anyone who likes corned beef hash. The fried chicken were all good but, the Mochiko chicken is just out of this world tasty goodness. I also ordered the shrimp stick with sauce on the side and if you like shrimp tempura this is a must with the lighter sauce poured over it. This was my first time to Tanioka’s so I went a bit overboard to try a range of items but it was such a great experience. This would be a perfect place to stop either on the way back from a morning beach visit or on the way to an early afternoon beach visit with lunch or picnic meet up. Get there early, be patient and drive with aloha on Farrington and in the parking lot. Mind the spaces that are reserved for people who live in the area and other businesses, be patient, and enjoy! Thank you again to the awesome staff for making it such an easy visit!

Took the combo so got 2 kinds of poke for $25, and got a ton of rice and a relatively small amount of poke. I remember even when she scooped it I thought to myself it was too little, and it was just ok.. Even the spicy which is kinda hard to miss with most places. The staff is kind and people are cool.

Tanioka’s is a very busy shop. There’s a bit of a queue but it was worth it.
Poke bowls are fresh and amazingly good. Sushi and musubis are very tasty and fresh. They have other food on the menu such as karaage, tonkatsu, etc.
Price is reasonable. Parking is available and xars come and go.
Overall, will definitely be back and this is a go to lunch for me.

Long line but it’s worth it.
Hawaii bowl is a must eat. Onion Luma Tuna is so fresh and juicy.
Luau pig is delicious. But all are a bit too salty, perfect for the rice though.
Fried chicken is only good when it comes freshly out of the fried oil.
Overall very good value and portion.
如果你喜欢吃 POKE 一定要来这家。夏威夷碗必点。

One of the best places to get poke in my opinion. Service was really fast and friendly. It says 9am on Saturday but when I get there at 0845 they already had a line and it was open. The line moves faster than you think and you need to get there early if you want certain things. Only one bad thing, parking sucks if you don’t get there early so just a warning! Would go back anytime!
