Updated 7/25 went back for another shot for dining in, and the experience was much better and staff was helpful and attentive.
We tried the Apollo fish appetizer (best in Eastside/Seattle hands down) as well as a goat dish. Both were excellent I can’t wait to go back and try more dishes!
We tried Tandoori Fish, which was beautifully grilled with a smoky char and perfectly balanced spices. The Mutton Soup was a standout—hearty, flavorful, and comforting, just like a home-cooked dish. Loved Chicken sukka. The Thalapakatti Biryani had the perfect blend of aromatic rice and tender meat, with that signature South Indian flair. And the Chicken Sukka—wow! It was dry-roasted with spices, full of bold flavor, and incredibly satisfying.
On top of the delicious food, the service was excellent—warm, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The staff went out of their way to ensure we had a great experience.
If you’re looking for authentic Indian food with exceptional taste and great hospitality, Sitar is absolutely worth a visit. Highly recommend!
Fast service and good ambience.
We ordered Chicken Pepper Soup, 2 starters – Pepper Fish Fry and Shrimp 65 and garlic naan, malabar porotta.
Overall food was great. Soup and starters were exceptionally good. As close to authentic indian taste and the best i have eaten in Seattle East Side. Biryani was also quite good, portions are quite big as well.
Overall we went in with no expectations and were pleasantly surprised. Do give it a try for sure.
Tried the Vijayawada Paneer Biryani and Curry Leaf Gobi fry. Medium spicy was so sufficient for typical Indian tastebuds.
Staff are hospitable and attentive. Mohan usually welcomes us with a warm greeting and checks in on us regularly to make sure we are enjoying our experience.
