Our founder Rusty Fenton’s dream was to bring the authentic taco stand experience to local communities and to become the neighborhood taco stand. The dream became reality when the first Rusty Taco opened in a converted gas station on Greenville Avenue in Dallas, TX in 2010. But Rusty Taco is more than just a place for street tacos. Rusty also believed in serving the community and creating a place where people from all walks of life can come together and feel welcome. We are passionate about what we do and keep our menu fresh and simple. Deliciously uncomplicated tacos crafted by hand with recipes created by our founder, who famously said: “Tacos are the Most Important Meal of the Day®”!

One of the best counter service taco spots I’ve been to! The churros changed my life and the margarita was huge and delicious!! It wasn’t too loud but it also wasn’t too quiet. We had a great time! I can’t wait to come back and try more tacos

This place has the best queso I’ve ever had. The birria tacos are delicious. I had brisket birria. My boyfriend had steak fajita tacos, and he loved them too. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was cute and comfortable. I like the music that was played. I don’t drink, but they have drink specials as well. They also have outdoor seating for good weather. If you sit at the bar, you order there. Otherwise, you seat yourself and order at the counter. They call you via intercom when the order is ready. This is a great place to eat! 10/10 would love to come again

Really cool place with laid back ambience and relaxing atmosphere. Tried the queso which wasn’t bad and several different tacos. Enjoyed the surf and turf taco, but chicken and brisket a tad on the dry side. Service was quick and will return for another visit, because I enjoyed the patio and looks like a cool place to meet and have drinks.

Woah, probably the best chips and queso we’ve ever had (huge jalapeno slices in the queso so it brought a little heat). The chips were so fresh and thin. And we loved that you get a choice between corn and flour tortillas with your taco order. The birria tacos were so tasty and fresh. Different salsas were available in a cooler next to the soda fountain and I tried tomatillo. Others with me ordered the Tam recommended taco (chicken) and the steak taco and shrimp taco. They have a loco hour from 3-6pm M-F too. Very fun atmosphere and a large outdoor patio too.

This is a nice and inexpensive place for a quick meal. Menu items are easy customized and there are options for vegans and vegetarians. Ingredients are fresh and taste great! The décor is fun and outdoor seating is available. The staff is friendly and the facility is kept very clean. Happy hour is from 3-6 on Mondays and the margaritas are delicious!

Not a great experience in ordering food as possibly a trainee ( didn’t introduce it though) who was clueless more than me the first time visitor.

We ordered catering. We portion sizes for the meat was woefully small. It was about half as much as what we expected. We had to call another local restaurant to quickly supplement the meal. I have always loved Rusty Taco but would not recommend their catering service.
