Went to The Tangy Crab with my daughter and family. My daughter goes there often, and now I completely understand why. We accidentally arrived right before closing after driving about a half hour, and Kat—our waitress—was absolutely incredible. She went out of her way to advocate for us and convinced the staff to stay open, never once making us feel like a burden.
Kat was friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about giving us a great experience. The oysters on the half shell and the different boils were amazing, and the entire staff was welcoming and kind—but Kat truly stood out and made the night memorable.
Hands down one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in a long time. We’ll definitely be back, and we hope to have Kat again.

First seafood boil and first visit time at Tangy Crab! Delicious! Our server was amazing! She went above and beyond. My arm is broken and she poured my boil out for me! Wonderful experience!

Took my daughter here for her birthday. This was our first seafood boil experience and it was awesome! Our waitress “cat” was awesome! She explained all our ordering options and even helped us get bibbed and geared up for the feast. Great food, environment, and staff!!!

Spent almost $100, they forgot a bunch of things I paid for. I drove 25 minutes for this food and when I called, they said I should have checked my order & all sales are final.
I have worked in restaurants my whole life and I have never heard of such a thing.
It is the restaurants job to get the order correct, not the customers job to check it before they leave. Yes, it is good practice but it is never the customers fault when something is forgotten. Customer service is rude and terrible. I will never return. Very disappointing.

Ate here a few weeks ago. My group got there a few minutes after opening. It was freezing cold in the whole restaurant. They must turn the heat off at night. We were the only people in the restaurant and our server forgot multiple items we ordered. She was playing on her phone the whole time. The menus were really dirty with prices crossed out and new prices hand written in. In the men’s bathroom, the towel dispenser was crooked and about the fall off the wall and there was a trash bag over the urinal. Food was mediocre. Not good enough for the price. I was not impressed. I would never go back here.

I have no complaints about Tangy Crab the seafood boil is amazing. The price is reasonable the service is great. The waiter is knowledgeable about the menu also the drinks. If asked about recommendations he could answer any questions. The restrooms and everything is clean. I recommend everyone to try them at least one time. Exit 118 1-75

I wouldnt even give 1 star if it was an option. Was seated as soon as we walked in. Seen at least 5 people working. Waited 20 minutes for no one to wait on us. They only had 2 other tables in there so its not like they were busy. Sorry for your loss of customers. Will not be back.

First time visit was today, had a good server who was knowledgeable about the menu and provided relevant guidance. I created my own boil with crab legs, shrimp, broccoli, scallops and sausage. It was a bit salty in certain spots but from what I understand I probably should have swished it around a bit before opening the bag. Other than this, the food and flavor was excellent! It was more food than what I expected. I had plenty to take home. Next time I will probably order less.
We also ordered the catfish which was decent. Although it was a little heavy on breading and light on fish.

Wow what a wonderful pleasant experience. Best crab boil I’ve ever eaten. Perfect! Everything was perfect. Owner/Manager and our hostess Kat all amazing. Everyone helpful and cheerful ready to make our experience special. We were celebrating an engagement, birthday and failed Covid new years plans. 6 of us sat down and did it all. This is a wonderful establishment and I can’t wait to return. Thank you all very much. I’ll try and post pictures if allowed.

Just on our way home to Dayton, from frankenmuth, stopping to get gas at a kroger , and decided to try them out, restaurant was spacious and very clean, very nice bar and a couple of large tv’s. We both had the fried cajun catfish basket, light and flakey, seasoned fries could have used a little more seasoning, but we’re cooked great. And very good coleslaw.
Oysters were great, too. We will definitely be stopping again on our way thru again
