Went to the Grand opening 02.03.18 and had to wait in a line outside in the cold for about 20 minutes, but well worth the wait. My children are teenage Athletes & I took them right after s strenuous workout…They enjoyed the bowls alot and asked when would we be returning I had the Acai Bowl (Pure Vida) & they had the Pataya (Electric Mermaid)…Will be returning!

The atmosphere of this place is great, I felt like I was in San Diego when I walked in and not main street Newark. Everything tastes really fresh. You get a big portion, which is great. Definitely worth a visit!

I just got a açaí bowl (Nutella one) & it is delicious! Playa Bowls is my new favorite place. I could eat one any time since they are so yummy. To make it even better, the staff is so nice and helpful. It was a pleasant experience for sure. I will definitely be back…possibly tomorrow!?!

this place is probably my new go-to smoothie shop. it’s adorable, and the smoothie bowls are to die for. i got the “stupid cupid” (specialty bowl). the base is strawberry-banana-coconut milk, and the toppings are granola, strawberries, coconut, and chocolate flakes. definitely recommend!!!

It appeared as if a young girl was training another girl, and she appeared very encouraging. Prompt service and delicious bowls prepared by a young man. It was a bit chilly in there, and the stools were uncomfortable for my husband who just had a hip replacement so we took our bowls to go. We love Playa bowls.
