Giving 2 stars just to be nice
Last time eating here for sure! 40$ for 2 people is crazy for one. Most of the food was cold and the food that was hot wasn’t any better! I ate here about a year ago and it was great! But the experience I had tonight I will not be coming back! Immediately got sick as soon as we left! I had icecream and looked like they haven’t cleaned the water the icecream scoop was in all day absolutely disgusting! All I have to say is save your money and get you something way better folks

Variety was ok but food lacked of flavor. Don’t know why but orange chicken tasted watered down with a hint of soap. Service was nice and always asked if we needed refills. The pudding tasted off, wife got sick and had to get up and rinse out mouth.

My mother and I enjoyed our late lunch. We drove over 80 miles to dine in. They have a nice variety of food. My favorite is Sushi which is always fresh. I also love to watch the Koi fish swim to the top when they think that you’re going to feed them. The little pond sits in the front of the restaurant as you enter. I look forward to my next visit to Statesboro for lunch at Chow Time Buffet.

The staff is amazing and friendly. My server was sweet, kind, and very attentive. Plenty of different delicious food available. Fresh and good. Would highly recommend!

What a MISTAKE!!! Lunch price was outrageous for the food quality!!! I mentioned to the gentleman behind the register that a patron had taken her excessively large noodle and placed it back in the community food with her BARE HAND!!! And his exact response was “This buffet what you expect” NOT WHAT I WAS EXPECTING!!! That was the end of my want for noodles, Then this to top that experience!!! Yes a GIANT ROACH!!! RIGHT NEXT TO ALL THE FOOD OPTIONS!!! Never again is the mindset for this place for my future buffet wants!!!

Chow Time is pretty good. The food is usually fresh and typical of China buffet restaurants. There is a small all-you-can-eat sushi bar. Most of the employees are Chinese so communication is limited and sometimes they don’t know what to do when you talk to them. We’re in the South and Southerners are friendly so that’s the best way to manage communication issues. The hostess for the past few years is American. The restaurant needs a remodeling and a good scrub, but otherwise it’s a good quick place to eat.
