Social Profile:

“In show business, the green room is the space in a theatre that functions as a waiting room and lounge for performers before, during, and after a performance or show.” In our case, the green room isn’t just for performers. It’s for you. Like a speakeasy, the restaurant isn’t what you see when you arrive. It’s subterranean, a hidden gem below the historic Playhouse in Old Town, Florence, Oregon.

Delicious restauraunt in Florence, Oregon.
This place does have a casual elegance vibe. Enter through a gate, past a small garden, and descend down the stairs to a small restauraunt below.
For a small menu, it had a good mix of seafood, pastas, meats. Only one vegetarian entree on the menu, if that is your wont (mushroom pasta dish). The food was delicious, though I found some of it a little too salty for my own taste (eg the risotto with my highly recommended Osso bucco, and the tasty but salty sauce for the Drunken Shrimp).
The wine menu is reasonably priced, and the cocktails are interesting.

Scrumptious desserts too.
Overall I feel the cost was reasonable for the quality of food and experience.

On the Saturday night we dined, the other waiter had called out sick. So there was only one waiter for the whole restauraunt. Even with just one server though, the experience was great, with a relaxed pace meal.

I highly recommend this restaurant for a special dinner, though consider asking for lighter salt level if your palate runs that direction.

This was an excellent dining experience! From the warm and welcome greeting to the final moment, we were treated like royalty and the service was very attentive. We’ve been several times and the dining experience is always delicious and gourmet. This is one of the few 5 Star experiences in Florenece, OR. The dinner was beautifully presented and tasted amazing? Their specialty cocktails are unique and tasty! The ambiance is casual elegance! We highly recommend you enjoy it.

As soon as you arrive, you go through a little gate and go down a few steps for a speakeasy feel. The ambiance was quite pleasant. Low lighting, but not too low. The bar was beautiful and complimented by glassware instead of alcohol bottles.

The menu was great and hard to choose from because everything looked and sounded delish. Our table ordered four appetizers to start, and two got cocktails, but I was okay with water.

Every dish was intentional and plated well. Each plating was full of flavor. So happy, we all took bites of each other’s food and enjoyed everything immensely.

My only suggestion would be to have a non alcoholic drink menu.

I’ll definitely go back. The service was perfect. Our server did a wonderful job, gave us a few suggestions, and was knowlgable about the dishes.

I strongly suggest getting a reservation. I called when they were not open and left a voicemail, and they communicated my request through an easy text. I was very happy with the whole process.

What an excellent hidden gem in Florence! The food was superb and atmosphere really nice. Very impressed and would definitely come back. We ordered a variety of dishes, the rabbit was tender and noodles were delicious. Pork roast had excellent flavor and loved the baby Bok Choi and sauces! Also had the scallops and they were fresh and lemon sauce was a great complimentary flavor. With cocktails, appetizers and main dishes was less than $50 per person. Not bad at all!!! Oh and the sea grass gin cocktail is my new favorite!

The atmosphere of this speakeasy style restaurant is inviting and romantic. Emily our hostess/server/bartender was efficient, attentive and kind. The braised short rib was plated perfectly and was very delicious. The carbonara tagliatelli was shockingly high in sodium, even though I am a salt lover, which overpowered the entire flavor profile of the dish. I am not sure if it was a kitchen error or the guanciale was simply too salty for the dish. The owner, Tim, took the time to visit our table and share the history of the location. We honestly had a very enjoyable evening at The Green Room despite the experience with the pasta dish and will return in the future.

Cute, quaint, intimate restaurant. If I had to summarize this place in 3 words, those would be it.
My husband and I we’re absolutely floored at how cute of a restaurant this was. The restaurant screamed fine dining. The place was elegant especially in a place like Florence.
Our server was attentive, kind, helpful, and very personable. The food was amazing and the dessert was to die for.
I highly recommend this place. Tell ALL your friends. 10/10

My husband and I are visiting Florence to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. While strolling through town, we spotted this gem and decided to make reservations for the following night.
Let me say, this place is being SLEPT ON. Easily one of the best dinners I’ve had. From the cozy, clean dining room, to the service from Cameron, and to the food-The Green Room hit all the marks. We split the strawberry/beet salad, we each had the sous vide filet mignon, and finished off with watermelon and strawberry sorbet for dessert. Everything was spot on. The price tag for what we got was more than reasonable. Will be back.

Absolutely delicious restaurant! We were so impressed and surprised. The radish soup was so flavorful and the steelhead trout had so many great vegetables that complimented it. Would definitely recommend to anyone and we can’t wait come here again

I can’t say enough about how special The Green Room is. Who knew that a small coastal town would have such a gem of a restaurant. It’s got a great 60’s speakeasy vibe, very creative and super tasty cocktails, and a very good wine list (both cocktails and wine are at very reasonable prices). My wife had the Oso Buuco and I has the Rabbit Paparedell pasta. Both were absolutely perfect and unique. We also had the salad which had so many very tasty goodies in it, we couldn’t believe how good it was. Absolutely wonderful.

We visit Florence regularly and are always delighted to find a new restaurant that serves great food. The Green Room certainly met that description. The service was quick, and the server was knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. The food was extraordinary. The carbonara tagliatelle was exceptional. My wife’s wild mushroom tortellini was out of this world. If you are looking for an excellent meal with that white table cloth experience, The Green Room is your place in Florence.
