My first visit there and seated quickly. Place was clean and service was great. Food came out fast and tasted very good. Plenty of sauce on the table to choose from and the sides were great. I would eat there again without hesitation.

4 of us decided to try Kettelhut’s Smokehouse. We had 2 plates of pick 2 with brisket, pulled pork, cole slaw & fried okra. Had another pick 2 plate with pulled pork, brisket, green beans & cole slaw. Last one had a brisket plate with cole slaw & fries. The brisket & pulled pork were phenomenal , both just melted in your mouth with goodness. The cole slaw was very good , as were the fried okra & fries. Green beans were pretty good as well. Our waitress was so polite & very thorough at seeing to our needs. This bar-b-que house ranks at the top. We would highly recommend Kettelhut’s to anyone seeking a great eating experience… A+ all the way …

We visited the area for a few days and this bbq is off the chain. Fantastic. The portions are generous, the prices imo are too low given the cost of meat these days and the flavor was delicious. I have days worth of meals for me from the pick three plate. I also got the cubano for tomorrow. My hubby is mowing down the pork steak and he thought it was even better than the brisket. The brisket is amazing.
The one star reviews are not fair imo. Delicious! I forgot to take a picture of the pork steak…. Gone in the time I wrote the review.

Service was excellent. For barbecue the food was okay. The brisket had alot of fat on it. The pork steak was overall ok but alot of seasoning.

I had one of the best jalapeños margaritas ever! The bartender was excellent! I got the pork steak and ribs with slaw and fried okra. The pork steak was ! The ribs were good but I asked for their dry rub and that really kicked them up a notch. The okra was really good. I was kinda disappointed in the slaw as it was supposed to be made in house ad Bobbies Special but it tasted like out of a ffos service container but it was pretty good. I also got a bread pudding that was decent but it had a different tast to it that put it off for me. I will definitely be back my next trip to Festus.

I loveeee this place. Great food, great atmosphere, great staff. I highly recommend Kettlehut. My husband and I have trouble eating out now a days because the quality has gone down hill on most restaurants; however, Kettlehut is always soooo good!!!! Just got done eating there and I can’t wait to go again!
Also, we used Kettlehut for catering our birthdays and they did an awesome job. Jeff took all the guess work out of it and was confident in his recommendations when I wasn’t sure what to pick. It ended up being a huge success. Highly recommend using them for catering.

Awesome Bar-B-Q. Have been here many times. First review. The BBQ pork steak is my favorite. Over an inch thick and you can cut it with a fork it’s so tender. Seasoned well. I got the fried corn cob and fries. My wife usually gets the Deluxe Chicken Nachos and we’re great too. Service was great by Ava.

We stopped in here wanting to try some authentic St. Louis BBQ and we were not disappointed! When we told the staff we were visiting from out of state they were so helpful, walking us through how to have the best experience possible! The dry rub was probably the best we’ve ever had and the Bourbon BBQ sauce was my boyfriends favorite. Kayla and the bartender were especially helpful, making this stop on our trip the best night we’ve had. Thank you!

Other than the comment made about me asking if they served mimosas and the lady behind the bar making a comment “a little early for a drink isn’t it? it’s only 11am” the waitress was sweet and the food was great. It was my 40th birthday celebration and it was a Sunday mid morning. I was embarrassed. Sadly, we won’t be returning, but want folks to know the food is worth it if you want a good bbq.
