BUT today we were encountered by the most rudest team member or associate i have ever encountered. First of all, we were not greeted. Her demeanor was like she was forced to be there. Second, when we received our food and were driving off my daughter noticed her order was not correct. We backed up and informed Jackie that the order was wrong. She said that’s what you ordered (very rudely). And we said no we didn’t but we will need to correct this meal. I handed her the bag and she said it will be $2 more,( very rudely again). My brother had already put his card away in his wallet and pocket. He was sitting in the back seat. Then she said I will need that card. (Very rude). We gave her the card. Then she asked for us to park in front. On our way there, we were in shock that we were treated this way today unlike all other days. She walked out and gave me the bag and said NEXT TIME CHECK THE SCREEN! I asked her for her name as she was opening the door to the restaurant, she said Jackie.
I was so disappointed with her attitude and behavior. Her pure lack of social skills was so apparent.
My children, my brothers and I have all worked fast food. Our customer service skills were always on point. Maybe because our parents taught us to respect. I would not accept this behavior of my children at their work place.
I honestly advise that Jackie be trained in appropriate customer service. This is a skill that most young adults and teens are lacking. They will need these skills in order to acquire a professional career. My first manager at Burger King, Ron Koester, taught me exceptional customer service skills. These skills helped me on my professional careerof 30 plus years.
I had the ability to interview and interact with people at a compassionate and professional level. I gave the same respect to the directors as I did to the worse perpetrators. Can you imagine how hard that can be? With that being said, my training also included deescalating the situation, by responding not reacting and ultimately having a win-win outcome.
Please take into consideration my suggestion, your workers will thank you for it in the future. Maybe not while they are in training.
Thank you for your time and attention.
I called and spoke with Brittany regarding the situation. I asked to speak with upper management or owner, she informed manger would be in on Monday.
I would appreciate a time and date to have an in person meeting with the owner or manager of this Jack in the box franchise.
Dear Jack in the Box Customer Service,
I’m writing to formally report a disappointing and frustrating experience I had at your 2910 Sierra Ave Fontana ca 92336 location on the morning of 10/8/25.
This visit was meant to be a simple pickup for a replacement order that had already been approved and documented by a manager due to a previous incorrect order. When I arrived at the drive-thru and placed the replacement order, I clearly stated that I was there for a replacement.
However, upon arriving at the window, I was met by an employee named Brittany, who was extremely rude and unprofessional. Instead of assisting me respectfully, she was argumentative and dismissive, insisting I needed a receipt even though I had spoken to a manager the day before who said everything was taken care of.
Despite my explanation, Brittany gave me a hard time and refused to honor the full replacement. To make matters worse, the replacement meal I was eventually given was also incorrect — again. Given Brittany’s attitude, I can’t help but feel this was intentional.
This entire experience was unnecessarily stressful and disappointing. I expect better service, especially when the mistake originated from your end in the first place.
I would appreciate if this issue could be addressed appropriately, both in terms of correcting the order and ensuring your staff — particularly Brittany — receives proper customer service training. I am happy to provide further details if needed.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
We experienced some fast food restaurants that are not allowed to walk in the drive thru even though we let them know that it’s impossible to drive a 18 wheelers truck and they are still not let us get some food it’s SAD and RIDICULOUS
Helpful and just very cool. I love this Jack in the box.
