This place is amazing! Saw it on a TikTok video and had to try it out. We were seated right away and Hunter took extremely good care of us. He was very attentive and explained the menu and specials with great detail. The food and drinks were delicious and we had plenty of leftovers.

I find it extremely difficult to find high quality restaurants in the area. I found Bertolone’s average at best. While the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is appropriate, the food and portions are not up to par and the taste isn’t winning any awards.

I travel for a living and have experienced Italian restaurants all over the country and was not overly impressed. The Calamari was over cooked which makes it rubbery and hard to chew. I had the Cajun pasta which cost $30 and the portion was not at all what I expected for that price and it comes with a side salad which I never received. My husband ordered the wedding soup and received tomato bisque. While it tasted fine, it wasn’t what he ordered.

We weren’t upset about anything nor did we give anyone a hard time about any of it and the server was very apologetic. I’m simply relaying our experience. Had it gone smoother, I’d still have a bit of an issue with the portion sizes and quality of the food.

I will note that the bread that comes in the little baskets is delicious.

I went here for the good reviews. The atmosphere was ok and my server was very nice. The food on the other hand tasted horrible. The cheese triangle bites had no cheese inside in most of them. The chicken masala with gnocchi came with huge pieces of chicken which wasn’t very appetizing. It tasted like boiled chicken smothered in extremely thick gravy. The tiramisu martini neither looked or tasted good. I barely consumed a few bites before leaving.

Wow. Wow. Wow. Cannot say enough about this food as well as the service. Best Italian food my family has EVER had. We also got to meet Mrs. Elvira herself . We ordered the buffalo chicken calzone (WHOA), my mom had the lasagna and dad has the spaghetti and meatballs. They both said their FAVORITE was the tomato bisque though!

After 1 hour drive home been to Bathroom 3 Times! Bad Meatballs Were BAD!!! Love this place will Not Be Back…

Communication with the waitress don’t know if she didn’t hear or didn’t understand. Order lunch portion get dinner portion. Order two orders of meatballs on the side got meatball appetizer.
Don’t quite understand Customer Service should be number one.

A Dining Experience Worth Raving About at Bertolone’s Classic Italian Restaurant!

From the moment you step into Bertolone’s Classic Italian Restaurant in Calera, you’re transported to a charming Italian haven filled with warmth, inviting aromas, and an atmosphere of genuine hospitality. The culinary delights are spectacular, but what truly made the evening unforgettable was the impeccable service provided by Missy, our server.

Missy epitomized excellence in every aspect of her service. Her warm and welcoming demeanor immediately put us at ease, and she went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our dining experience was perfect. She was knowledgeable about the menu, offering insightful recommendations that turned out to be absolute winners. Her attentiveness was remarkable—she anticipated our needs before we could even voice them, and her genuine enthusiasm for her role added an extra layer of joy to the evening.

What stood out the most was Missy’s personal touch. She treated us not just as customers but as valued guests, taking the time to engage with us in a way that felt sincere and heartfelt. It’s rare to encounter someone with such a natural talent for creating memorable experiences, and Missy is undoubtedly a gem at Bertolone’s.

We recently went there for a family event, and the drive was well worth it! All the food was pretty good! I got the Cajun Shrimp and Crawfish Penne. It was really good! I mean, was it worth the $30… maybe. But it just felt like it was missing something. But that’s just my opinion. I’d have no qualms getting it again. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place of you want authentic Italian food!

The food was amazing. The calamari and meatballs to start off the meal were perfect. The sauce differences for the calamari and meatballs was nice to see compared to other Italian restaurants. The chicken parmigiana and lasagna were cooked to perfection and had a very fresh taste. The only way I can see to make this experience better was when the bartender is waiting tables, the other staff should support when the bartender gets busy. Great experience and will be eating there again.
