During my recent visit to this breakfast establishment, I had an experience that I found quite disappointing. I was looking for a good spot to enjoy breakfast with my family, but unfortunately, the outcome was not what I had hoped for.
Upon reviewing the menu, I noticed that the prices were not matching to the total bill. I ended up paying nearly $70 for just three plates of food, which felt unreasonable given the portions served. Additionally, the environment was quite overwhelming due to the presence of extensive political memorabilia and a TV broadcasting FOX News, which detracted from the overall dining experience.
The noise level in the small venue was high, making it difficult to have a conversation. Furthermore, the wait time for our food was longer than anticipated, considering we were only ordering breakfast items. I personally ordered French toast, which did not meet my expectations, even though the server had recommended it as their favorite dish.
Overall, based on this experience, I would suggest potential diners consider other options for breakfast, as this particular establishment did not provide a satisfactory experience.

This place was fantastic. Stopped here while on vacation from Ft. Worth and would eat here again! My husband said the fried mushrooms were the best ones he’d ever had! And the baked potato was great as well!

A staple in the Clear Lake Shores/Kemah community, this WONDERFUL small Cafe offers excellence in food , service, and atmosphere. Not too many want to rate it, as they don’t want to have the overcrowding when the word gets out that this tucked away place, deep rooted in history of the community is the best place to have a fabulous breakfast and lunch. The owners are always there to greet you, and everyone knows each other. Hate to put this out there but it truly is a DO NOT MISS place for breakfast. It is top notch!

We’re local and were looking for a spot to grab some breakfast. I had heard Skipper’s had the best breakfast around, so we decided to give it a try. Upon walking in I noticed the place smelled like cigarettes. I didn’t see anyone smoking, so don’t know if it was an old, residual smell or what. The food was mediocre. My husband was taken aback by his omelet and not a fan. The heavy dose of political propaganda and rhetoric was just the icing on the cake. If you’re just looking for a spot to grab a good breakfast without all of that noise, this is not the place.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! By far my favorite place to go to for breakfast! It’s a hometown dinner with an amazing staff. The food is PERFECTION! Highly recommend this place to everyone and anyone. A family-friendly establishment with the owner who seats you. We go here every weekend for breakfast. Everything is amazing and perfect every time. We have never had any issues. The wait staff is always on top of everything and beyond helpful with any request. The only issue is I wish they were open longer so I could get their amazing food later in the day. If you are in the area and it’s early in the day, stop here. You won’t regret it in any way! Also, all the menu items are super cheap. Can’t beat this place. Always amazing and love the atmosphere in every way.

Used to come here regularly 7-8 years ago, hadn’t been in a long time and stopped by for lunch. Unfortunately the quality of the food has gone way downhill since the last time I was here. I remember the chicken fried steak crust used the crunch and break apart when you cut into it, now it’s just like store bought at best, think frozen tv dinner chicken fried steak… Roll was stale and tasted storebought, nothing like they used to be. Only reason I’m even giving 4 stars is because the wait staff was fast, friendly and attentive.

I stumbled upon this wonderful breakfast spot during my visit, and I must say, it’s a gem. The menu not only offers delicious homestyle cooking, but it also includes some Greek offerings that truly stand out. The food is flavorful and satisfying, leaving you ready to take on the day.
What impressed me the most was the service. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely cares about making your dining experience memorable. They also seem to have won over the locals, who highly recommend this place – a sure sign of its quality.
As a tourist, finding a breakfast spot like this feels like striking gold. It’s a perfect start to the day with hearty food, great service, and the stamp of approval from locals. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend giving this place a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Wonderful local breakfast shop. Quaint atmosphere, cozy seating, friendly wait staff.
Was able to sit right down and served by Krista (spelling?). Took our order, food came out perfect, hot, and delicious.
Waters were kept full and we were not lost in the shuffle during what seemed to be an unusually busy time.
Highly recommended, will be back!!
