Absolutely delicious food and friendly staff. Everything came out quick as well. If we’re ever back in the area, we’ll definitely come back!

The empanadas are good but not worth 5$, also they put a tourist tax in my bill again for the second time. Who in the h goes to cutler bay as a tourist and I don’t look like it either. Overpriced and they take too long, plus scam on putting tourist tax. Last time I go there, theres another bakery not far and the service is fast.

Drove from SC to visit my dad, as I’m a Miami native. Wanted to bring home a souvenir so what better than authentic Cuban cuisine?! Took a chance on Cubavana and was super pleased. Ordered 2 Cuban sandwiches, black beans, maduros, and flan to bring home. Refrigerated when I got back to Dad’s, put the bag on ice for the 12 hour drive the next day. Ate our Cuban meal the following day (2 days AFTER I bought it) and it was AMAZING. The sandwiches were so big, we’re saving half for tomorrow! Will definitely be back and highly recommend. Thanks so much for a delicious, hearty meal!

I waited 45 minutes for a simple omelet. The server took other customers’ orders after mine, brought out their food, and then came back to ask me what I had ordered. By the time my food arrived, the experience was already ruined. An omelet should not take the same amount of time as a full dinner, and basic communication or acknowledgment was missing. Unfortunately, the service was worse than the food even though the food was bad as well. Very disappointing.

***Response to comment from Cubavana: If the food was amazing I would have posted a review as well. That’s why Google encourages consumers to write reviews, it’s the way businesses either grows to improve and showcase that or continue delivering the same type of service. I reviewed previous remarks that this meal hadn’t received positive comments. Maybe it’s time to change up the menu item that is being served. Whether you receive great or not so great comments there is always room to improve. I understand you can’t make everyone happy but a certain expectation of service is desired.

I ordered the breaded steak for my daughter. Yikes! Not good at all. The breaded part was like a pocket of “breaded” ingredients. Too bad because usually when we dine the food is not bad. You’d think for the price for
the bistec would be the best part of the meal not this time. If this is how it’s going to be served then you might as well not have it on the menu. Hopefully our next experience will be more appetizing. Second photo is from the web not from the restaurant just posting for reference and to show the difference

My boyfriend and I came to eat at this little cafe after a quick stop at Publix. However, we are never coming back after this visit. Even if the food might have been good, the service was absolutely terrible. My boyfriend ordered the french toast platter and the Churro Deluxe as dessert and I ordered the chicken wrap. We both also ordered coffee with milk. The churros came first despite it being dessert. They were good so we didn’t want to question it. Then, the chicken wrap came. We waited fifty whole minutes before my boyfriend’s french toast was DELIVERED to the WRONG table. The lady who got served the dish clearly told the waitress that it was a mistake, but by that time her daughter had already put her hands in the food. The waitress took the SAME plate of food and placed it in front of my boyfriend. When she noticed her mistake she also failed to realize that she forgot to bring our coffees. We knew that she saw us watching the whole interaction and when we told her that he wasn’t going to eat food touched and eaten by other guests she did not offer any compensation and still charged us for the food. Terrible customer service and terrible training to new staff. The manager was nowhere to be found and other staff watching did not help our waitress. I could not believe the audacity and I am absolutely disgusted she thought he was going to still accept food touched by other guests.

Pleasant place with friendly service. We’ve been getting food from them regularly lately and I really don’t understand the negative reviews. Frankly, I think some people are just being unreasonable and forgetting that we are STILL in a pandemic. Be patient, treat others with kindness, forgive simple mistakes, AND TIP WELL. It is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT not just for people in the medical field, but servers and restaurant staff in general too. Give them the respect they deserve.
Besides that, it’s a quaint place, food has been consistently fresh and the portions are very generous. My wife and I will continue to be regulars here.

This place is awesome sauce! Don’t believe me? Scroll through my Instagram and you’ll see what this “foodie” enjoys. This was my first time in Miami and after driving across America I decided to make a stop in South Beach. I was greeted and welcomed inside and to my surprise they offered various staples in one place. I started with the “Cuban Coffee” which is a unique blend of coffee bean and includes expresso which gives it a full but delicious flavor. Then, I ordered my cuban sandwich, steak fajitas with grilled peppers and onions (comes in a pot) and my sides which included moro (black beans and rice) and Yuca (latin fried potatoes) and everything came out fantastic. My meal was hot and fresh, full of flavor and the cuban bread was love at first bite. The steak was juicy, tender and very filling. This has to be a top go-to that I’d recommend highly. Also get yourself some cold and freshly squeezed orange juice (Naranja) welcome to Florida!
