loved this place for years and have come for the amazing food. went today and the plate sizes have decreased significantly, the fajita burrito is half the size it used to be if not smaller now. so sad because the prices are the same and we left hungry when historically we leave super full! the service and hosting is still amazing and so sweet so nothing against them! unfortunately won’t be going here anymore 🙁

I’ve been to this restaurant a few times. My first visit I was absolutely blown away by the food. So good & my margarita was too! The times after my first visit have not been as great as the first time. But I choose to keep coming because their queso is really good & their carnita tacos are amazing!

Called jn a to go order. Vegetarian Quesadilla with shrimp. Received beef sandwich and fries. Tried to call and make right. No one answers the phone. No place to make it right on the website

Went to Dos Reales in Overland Park and this was hands down one of the worst dining experiences l’ve had in a while. First off, the service was completely inattentive-it wasn’t even busy, yet our server was MIA. My husband had to literally get up and go looking for them, and we found them just chilling in the office talking to the manager. Like, hello? We’re still out here waiting at the table.
And don’t even get me started on the food… it was disgusting. The beans tasted old and sour, like they’d been sitting out way too long. Nothing on the plate was fresh or flavorful. Honestly felt like we were served leftovers from another table. Super disappointing all around. We won’t be back.

Everything about this place was excellent. The service was quick came at the perfect times. Food was also very good. The burrito was a decent serving size although I would have preferred more. The chips and salsa and queso helped fill the gap though. Margaritas were also excellent but would have liked stronger ones. 10/10 and will definitely recommend in the future.

Has been our go to spot for Mexican food, tonight that changes. Tonight when tabbing out our waitress brought our bill, they offer a 3% cash discount, making our bill come to $68.54. I gave our waitress a $100 bill, and she brought back $31 in change. Shorting us out $0.46 in change.

Any company that allows their servers to steal from customers whether 46 cents or $100, doesn’t deserve to earn peoples business.

My husband and I shared our meal. Thankfully the serving size offered enough for us to do this and have plenty. We ordered the Acapulco Bay, I think it was called. Great flavor. Our server was ok but nothing wow notable. I think the negative that sticks in my mind would be the hostess. We were not greeted with a smile. During our time at the restaurant she spent more time looking at her appearance in the mirror. I might suggest more training or encouragement and understanding of how the hostess not only brings you to your table but greets you at the door and is the first impression of the business.

Check your online orders closely on pickup when ordering fajitas especially. Missing tortillas. 3 separate times this has happened to me..
This last time i thought i saw them but it was the salsa wrapped up in tin foil. Now i am sadly eating fajitas without tortilla..

Grease Bomb!

Save yourself some time, money, frustration, and grease and go to Taco Bell! I didn’t think that it was possible to be worse than Taco Bell, especially the one in Shawnee, but we have a new winner with Dos Reales Authentic Mexican Restaurant.

You can see in the pictures that the packing is incredibly poor, part of the tacos don’t even have meat in them, and the others are nearly floating away in so much grease. I think that you could power two or three vehicles with the amount of grease that exists in these few tacos. For the tiniest amount of meat that you did get in the tacos, it sadly was cold. There really is nothing redeeming about the food that was delivered for this order.

Adding further insult to injury, the bag of chips that was sent was nothing but chip shards and crumbles. Nearly all of the chips were the leftover bits in the bottom of a chip pan. Somehow this was okay to bag up and send out as part of an order. The salsa they sent with the chips was only half full and was bulging on the container, like it had gone bad or been over exposed to heat. I am not sure where the standards and accountability are at in this restaurant for the food and related products that they serve.

Overall, this is not only sad and frustrating, but a complete waste of money and time. Save yourself some hassle, get some better food, and save yourself some money by going to Taco Bell. For the little bit of food that I did try, it had a very medicinal flavor to it, and I am not sure why. Time to grab the activated charcoal to help minimize anything negative from the food. Fingers crossed that sickness does not set in from the food.
