55 minutes is too long to wait for burgers that were served cold and overcooked.

I will start this by saying we came once before (2024?) and had good food. We got two kinds of burgers and shared them and they were tasty and we were happy with the food, atmosphere, and price. That’s why we came back. *Le sigh*

We both got the bourbon bacon cheeseburger. K’s burger arrived with a burger sauce that had mayo after specifically confirming it only comes with BBQ sauce. When they “fixed” it they scraped off the toppings and returned a cold burger with hot toppings. K didn’t finish the burger and the experience was v frustrating.

My burger had bacon so hard I chipped a piece off and hit it against my plate to demonstrate to K how overcooked and tough it was. The BBQ sauce was a lot sweeter than last time

Our server was friendly but we waited 35 minutes before our cheese curd appetizer came out (cheese curds are the only part of the meal that was good). Then it was another 20 minutes for burgers; we ordered everything together.

The server was friendly but not friendly enough to make waiting an hour for poorly cooked food in an empty restaurant worth going there.

All in all we paid $80 for two burgers with fries, two lemonades, cheese curds, two upset stomachs, and disappointment.

My hot tip for this place:
if you’re getting burgers, Bill and Bea’s is a few minutes drive away and the burger and fries are waaaay better and even when they’re slammed you’re not going to wait 55 minutes to eat.

We recently visited Talking Cedar with a large group, and while we experienced a long wait time of over an hour for a table, the delay was softened by the fantastic local drinks we sampled while waiting. The server was both knowledgeable and friendly, adding a positive touch to our experience.

Although the dinner service could have been improved, the food itself was a highlight. Our steaks, salmon, and vegetables were all delicious, and the atmosphere was inviting. Despite the wait and some service hiccups, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely be returning for another visit!

Staying next door at the Marriott & stopped in for dinner. Ordered the Talking Ceder Caesar salad ($16), the Crab & Artichoke dip ($20) & for dessert the Caramel Apple Bread Pudding. ($10) Total after tax $50.09 + $4 tip on CC & $6 cash.

Upon returning to my hotel room, I started with the crab artichoke dip, the container was less than half way full. The dip ate/stringed more like a queso cheese dip than a cream cheese dip (see video) way more cheese than desirable, no crab to taste & only a few artichoke pieces. See pictures & video included.

Bread pudding was nothing notable. Strange caramel sauce & small portion for the price.
Sad to say the salad was the best thing ordered. I would have better enjoyed the fast food offered in the area & saved over 50% of my hard earned coin.

I’ve seen ratings from 1 to 5. This was our first visit. We had phenomenal company and a good server. It was recommended to stay away from the pastas and go with their top sellers. 2 orders of fish and chips (my husband rated his a 3-4), a salad, and chicken dinner. The gravy on the chicken looked like it had been sitting around for a while but it tasted decent. I brought home one of the pieces of chicken. Angel food cake with mocha buttercream frosting sounded decadent. It was not. First of all, it was not angel food cake. It was ice box yellow cake, with okay icing that had no mocha flavor. $85+ later for 2 average meals, water, and a marginal dessert. I’m not returning.

I’ve driven by many times and I made a special trip to come to Talking Cedar today. I’m glad I did. The place has a relaxed vibe but it’s well run. The service was good. Our server offered several spot on suggestions before we ordered. We came for lunch so I had the large dinner salad and a side of deep fried pickle chips. The quality of both has me planning on coming back for dinner sometime. The real star of the show is the beer. I had a flight and they were all very good. I bought a six pack on my way out. The prices for everything was reasonable. This is definitely a place to check out!

We were driving North on the 5 and needed to stop and get something to eat. What a treat. Cameron, our server was fabulous. He made great suggestions for our beer flight and ended up setting us up with a few growlers to go. My wife had the beef short ribs which tasted great and were presented even better with perfectly cooked veggies and very generous portions.
I had the prime rib sandwich. Once again superb with a very large portion of fries. I was only able to eat half the sandwich and maybe a third of the fries.
It was quiet, clean and the entire staff we interacted with were helpful and soooo knowledgeable about the selections on the menu and behind the bar. We will be back. Thanks for a great night Cameron.

We were staying at Great Wolf Lodge but wanted a good dinner and this place hit the spot. Their beers and bourbon are fantastic, the bacon jalapeños were great and the ribeye was good. My only complaint was the sweet sauce on the ribeye, not my favorite but still good. Family of five had a great meal with drinks for $146 (before tip).

Came in at 5pm… was told at least 20 min wait because the kitchen wasn’t able to keep up with the crowd upstairs… this tells me management didn’t prepare for the event and have overloaded their team. So crew is running like crazy and customers are short-sheeted. This is the picture of the bar we’re we couldn’t sit because it was too busy. Our server Jenny was great, my prime rib dip was ice cold and she had it refired right away and was continually checking in and the lady who we paid our bill with was wonderful…. but the front desk people were unpleasant. I reiterate.. tonight’s downfall falls management and their poor planning.

This restaurant’s food was not the best. Their dishes (knives, forks, and cups) had a weird white film and a dirty appearance when brought out to us. The burger was tiny—not even a full patty. It had holes in it and was less than a 1/4 of a regular patty. The server seemed overworked and didn’t know much about the menu, allergies, or which items contained allergens. It took a long time to place our order and even longer to receive our food.

The atmosphere was aesthetic, and you could see the distillery, which was very cool.

Food: 1 star
Service: 2 stars
Atmosphere: 3 stars

-Not the best place for meals, but it seems like a nice spot for drinks.
