We were passing through and decided to stop for a quick bite to share.
It was definitely a locals favorite and you could certainly tell there was lots of love, stories, and morning coffee chats with local residents.
The menu looked good, and would have like to tried a few more items, but from what I saw at other tables looked yummy.
If you’re looking for a good home cooked meal that meemaw and papaw would make, this is your joint.

I ordered the all-you-can-eat option, and the total came out to just under $31 including the tip, which is expensive for what I experienced. The first meat I picked was ribs, and they were actually really good.
After that, I went to the bathroom and then ordered a second round. The ribs I received the second time were completely different — a different cut, different texture, and they honestly looked like Pork Ribs they had microwaved.
I tipped my waitress well because this wasn’t her fault at all, but for the price, the food quality should be consistent. It felt like I was given a lesser product on the second order, which was disappointing.

Not a bad place, doesn’t feel like theres any AC running in there. The ribs i got were okay with a decent bark, but they were VERY fatty, not much meat. The baked beans were ok but the best thing I had was the garlic toast. Great sweet tea, too. I probably wont be back though.

We had an amazing meal at Smitty’s Smokehouse Restaurant in Dade City! The bacon cheeseburgers were absolutely delicious—juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The macaroni and cheese was creamy and rich, the french fries were crispy and seasoned just right, and the bread pudding was the perfect sweet ending to our meal.
The staff was warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The atmosphere had that perfect blend of cozy and casual, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy some truly great food. If you’re in the area and craving a fantastic meal, we highly recommend Smitty’s Smokehouse! We’ll definitely be back!

Frequented by locals, we stopped in to try the restaurant & were VERY impressed! Evelyn & Addison gave us stellar service! The restaurant was busy but we still got fast service. The food was delicious, freshly made & was flavorful. We got the country fried steak, cheeseburger, spicy chicken sandwich, chili, a kids breakfast and the pulled BBQ chicken sandwich.

This was our first time eating here. It’s a small hometown restaurant and the service was quick and friendly. I had the grilled chicken sandwich on garlic bread with backed beans. The wife had the pulled pork sandwich. Everything was delicious. No complaints here.

We had a great meal at Smitty’s! They serve breakfast all day so I enjoyed a Skillet at 3:00. And I have to compliment the servers too, because a skillet isn’t on their menu, but they made me a “Omelet” made with overeasy eggs. Thanks to the cooks too! My wife enjoyed a beans and rice, and sausage special. Homemade and very good. All locals were there. And prices were very, very good.

Ordered water with no lemon and it still came with lemon. Food was ok. Pulled pork was dry. Mac and cheese was bland.Menu is limited as far as a smokehouse goes. Was more like a diner than a smokehouse. Limited seating.

Food was cooked to perfection and so appealing to the eyes. Service was just as great and so we’re the prices/portions! We live in Lakeland and will definitely drive out here regularly to enjoy a great meal. We came in just after 3pm on Wednesday the 15th, the entire restaurant staff was on point!
