Came here right when they opened for lunch at 11 and was sat right away. Koma is THE MAN! He was friendly, attentive, and had a great personality. I saw him hustling around and making sure everyone was taken care of. The lunch special hibachi was a good portion and all very tasty. We will definitely be back and ask for Koma!

Ichiban is by far the best place for Japanese cuisine. We’ve been going for several years and love how consistently delicious their food always is. Last night they blew me away when we came to enjoy hibachi for my son’s birthday. I kid you not, I felt like we were royalty with how amazing Robin, our waitress, and Raymond, our chef, treated us! Robin not only made sure we had everything we needed at all times, but also made sure we left with extra supplies, to-go drinks, and tips for food storage. Raymond was probably the best hibachi chef we’ve EVER had in Charleston. He’s hilarious, engaging, great with kids, and also an amazing chef. We will continue to frequent Ichiban on a regular basis. Thanks for an amazing dinner last night!

If you like Hibachi, nd stay in the west area, this is your place… i stumbled across it picking up some cigars in the cigar lounge right across from it. Nd when I say this has probably been the best hibachi I’ve ever had I’m not exaggerating, it was really good, with great sized proportions of meat, veggies and rice… at first the price may seem high if your used to the grab and go hibachi spots witch i order from, from time to time, but the amount of food you get versus what you pay definitely measures up… I ordered food to go so I didn’t really get to check the atmosphere out thoroughly, but on my next visit, I’ll make sure to stop in and grab a bite. Also their soup is amazing as well

After searching the Charleston area, we arrived here on a whim that they would have good Sushi. And they DID! Madison was our waitress and we introduced her and the staff to my favorite mixed drink, Mt. Dew and Fruit Punch! The rest of the staff tried it and loved it as well! lol — PUT THAT ON THE MENU
We ordered Sushi and it did not disappoint. The hibachi chicken and steak my husband ordered was tender and seasoned well! My spicy crab and avocado on top of my sushi was a little sloppy and lackluster in presentation but it still tasted great.
Overall, when we’re back in the area, we will return for another visit.

The food was excellent, and the portions were generous. I’m a big fan of the chicken and ribeye rice bowls. The portions are even larger when done hibachi style, but the lunch specials come way quicker. The complimentary soup and salad is great, and makes for a bigger portion to take home for leftovers.

Tyler, Brian, Koma and all the peeps you know who yall are. Very cool and always going the extra mile for the best experience you can get in Charleston. Half price appetizer on Sundays and happy hour 7 days a week. Come here for your 4-7 happy hour for drinks and food. It’s a worthwhile venture for the fine dining at affordable prices.
