Social Profile:

The Fish Store is a seafood restaurant and fish seller at Fisherman’s Wharf in Victoria BC. Our address is 1 Dallas road. We serve a variety of seafood based dishes, such as: Fish and Chips (fried or grilled fish), salmon, cod, halibut, and sturgeon. We also pride ourselves in serving fresh high quality oysters, as well as healthy options like green salads and grilled fish, along with gluten free options (yes even GF fried fish)! Local beer and wine is also available. We have an advantage over other seafood retailers because we are not just a store, we are also a licensed processing plant. As a plant we have the ability to legally purchase fish and shellfish directly from the fisherman and process it right at our floating store.

Locally sourced seafood like tacos & fried fish are served from a dockside counter, plus breakfast.

One of the few open spots at the Wharf and worth a stop. The absolute star of the meal was the supreme oysters (we had a dozen)—you have to order them! The salmon soup was just okay, but the fried salmon and fish platter was a perfect, warm ending to the meal. A solid choice when you need a bite in the cold.

The Fish Store – Seafood Restaurant is definitely worth the stop! Expect a bit of a queue, but don’t worry—it moves fast and the whole vibe around the place is upbeat and lively. Seating inside the restaurant is limited, but you can easily find plenty of extra spots right next to the Mexican restaurant.

Big salute to the beautiful cashier—so patient, friendly, and genuinely helpful with her recommendations. She made the ordering process smooth and welcoming.

We ordered steamed clams and mussels (love that you can mix them for the price of a regular order), halibut fish and chips, salmon tacos, and oysters. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious.

If you’re craving seafood with great energy and quick service, this spot is a must-visit!

Service was super friendly. Special thanks to the staff for asking if we wanted the heater turned on. Small gesture, big difference (my ears thank you, too).
The fish and chips were fresh and delicious, and the coleslaw was a surprise standout! Crisp, bright, and inhaled in about 30 seconds.
We liked everything so much we went back for round two: oysters and chowder. No regrets, only full bellies.
We sat out on the deck with our puppy and they were very accommodating, which earned them even more points in our books.
Highly recommend this spot. Just be prepared to order seconds.

Okay – let me start by saying this, this is an extremely touristy spot. The vibes are lovely, great music near the Mexican place. All in all, a great place to stop by for the first time.

We ordered the steamed crab as we do each time, it is excellent and for those living in landlocked cities, fresh steamed crab is a treat! We also ordered the two piece halibut and chips. Halibut is fresh but the batter could be crispier and lighter. The Cole slaw is home made and good without all the commercial gunk and colour.

Definitely worth a visit. But touristy begets touristy prices.

The Fish Store in Victoria is truly a standout for seafood lovers. The oysters, clams, and mussels were incredibly fresh, and both the chowder and the fish and chips were delicious and perfectly prepared. The spot prawns were a real highlight, showcasing top-notch quality and flavour. On top of the food, the service was quick, friendly, and welcoming, which made the experience even better. And also this is only one place you can sip your beer when you are enjoying with your fish and chips at Fisherman Wharf. If you’re in Victoria, this is absolutely a must-visit spot for unforgettable seafood!

The food was very good and well priced, however canned drinks at $4.00 each is way too steep. Food was prepared fast and to order. Thank you for staying open when most others are closed in the area

Great fish, the salmon was perfectly cooked. I thought the fries and the coleslaw were lacking a bit and prices were steep but expected given the location. Still looked like better seafood than the other store on the wharf and was very delicious!

A simple, no-frills spot—just the way I like it—to enjoy the excellent bounty of the northern Pacific. The salmon chowder and oysters were REALLY outstanding; the fish and chips a touch greasier than ideal, but still fresh and flavorful. Overall, I can’t bring myself to give it less than five stars, because everything is genuinely good and fresh. Perfect for a quick, unfussy lunch or dinner.

We had the oyster and tuna tacos and they were so good. We also grabbed a couple pieces of fresh salmon to take home, and they were really fresh. Great spot!

The fish and chips were so fresh and absolutely delicious! The batter was perfectly crispy, the fish was tender and flaky, and the fries were golden and satisfying. You could really tell it was made with quality ingredients and care.

We enjoyed our meal while taking in the beautiful waterfront views at Fisherman’s Wharf, which made it even better. There’s just something about eating fresh seafood right by the ocean that hits differently.

The portion size was generous, and the tartar sauce added the perfect finishing touch. Highly recommend if you’re in Victoria and craving classic fish and chips done right!
