While fajitas remain a local favorite, items like our Summer Salmon Salad with fresh watermelon, oranges, pineapple, and salmon over a bed of greens provide refreshing options. We know rice and beans are a must for Mexican Food but, we like to change things up with offerings of squash/zucchini, tortilla soup, and Key West veggies as optional sides

Just sharing our lunch experience at Jalapeño Tree in Mineola yesterday. Our initial encounter with the female server was one of aggression. As she approached our table she glared at me as if I had already offended her. I ordered a lunch quesadilla that included beans and rice, which I did not want but no substitutions were offered. I asked her to add sour cream but she rudely said that she would have to charge extra. I asked if she was going to give credit for the beans and rice and she said “no, we are not allowed to.” I knew that but it was trying to make a point. See photos for how the quesadilla was delivered and the price we paid for a lunch for two, plus a side of sour cream. No drinks included. This was ridiculously priced for what we got. Jalapeño Tree management, you can do better!!

My goodness! my son, my husband and myself went to eat about 8 pm only because the other good places close at 8. We like the pick 4 menu it’s always so much food and a good size of tortilla soup, and everything was good except the tortillas were not fresh but we could deal…takes forever for a chip person to come over then the lady brings drinks, we ask for tortillas and she brought us crunchy flower tortillas the butter was empty so I was smacking it out because I can’t see an employee anywhere no plates to eat our tortillas on had to go ask for napkins and plates,never got a refill on the ONE basket of chips for 3 people.my son asked for a taco bowl with queso in it and he got shredded chz and the woman said it was queso (wasn’t because I literally has a bowl of queso next to me)we ask for to go boxes and she was aggravated I needed a to go cup for my tortilla soup,my son wanted an empty to go cup she Bring him a to go sweet tea and has a bowl in her hand saying “is this for your water or…..??” Why would it be for my water? I’m not a dog lol.i ask the host if it was always like this at night and he shrugs and barely says “ion know” seen us struggling with which flavors didn’t work at the ice cream never helped!they never told us their name my husband had to initiate with the chip boy, server didn’t introduce herself and I literally never seen a manager! Please tell me why I drive all the way to canton Jalapeno teee? There is never an armory seat there hardly for a good reason vs the one in Mineola with 2 cars in the parking lot and nobody but us until they closed! Yuck it’s been years and now I remember why! Ps I’m a good over-tipper but she didn’t even get 20% I only left something because she was making 2 bucks for the hour I was there! Look at the pic is that queso? Lol I mean ya it’s Spanish for cheese!

I can’t believe these guys only have 4.0 reviews. We took a chance and so glad we did! Everything was superb… The portion sizes are BIG, and so delicious. I had fajita quesadillas and they were STUFFED with meat, cheese, grilled onions and peppers OMG it was so good! My husband’s cheese enchiladas with chili con carne on top were actually the best tasting enchiladas we’ve had in forever. The chips and salsa were amazing, the service was amazing (shout-out to Ethan our waiter in Mineola). We will definitely be returning often!

I live in Lewisville and I will tell you this, the food at this restaurant was amazing. Nothing in Lewisville compared to this food, enchiladas, burritos, queso you have to try the papa bear queso with meat. Homemade tortillas are to die for. Outstanding food and service. Chips and salsa were also amazing. You must try this place. We got the choose 4 items so we could try several things and this includes beans and rice. Only 14.49 for beans rice and 4 items. Very well priced. Thank you

We were here with a large group on a Monday night. Service was very good, especially in light of coming without notice. Food was solid. I had the spinach enchilada with sour cream sauce. The dish was good, not necessarily “out of this world good” but good. If you are in Mineola, I recommend dining here.

Food was fantastic!! Portion sizes were great and atmosphere was pleasant. I really enjoyed seeing the wall art, especially the little lizards decorations on the walls. Servers were friendly and sweet as well. Would highly recommend, especially for a big party

Waitress had very bad attitude. Like it was a bother for her to even have to be there working.. when I explain how exactly I wanted the order of ultimate nachos, she made a big deal about “you understand that will make them almost $20.00”
I have never had a waitress with such a bad attitude from the canton location..
Maybe we will just keep our business at the other locations ..

We love this Jalapeno Tree Restaurant BUT this is the second time we have come @ 4:30 pm and the young man at the front door told use there were not any booths available … we looked (both times) and saw there were available booth! The host said, “they were not cleaned, we told him we would wait, he said, “it is going to take a while!” The customer service was terrible!!! Our waitress acted like she doesn’t want to be there and the beef was not good !!

Salsas are really lame I am not gunna lie didn’t eat any of my food but the salad! Service was great! But food is not tt for me. Kids enjoyed corn dogs though!

We gave it a second chance and I really don’t see how anyone chooses to eat here with the other options nearby. The tamale was okay, the rice was okay, but everything else was just not good. Canned tasting chili on greasy enchiladas with unseasoned meat. My ‘green sauce’ tasted like straight uncooked flour and the salsa is almost ketchup. And don’t get me started on putting some sort of cold corn and bean salad directly on top of my hot food. The service was good but it cannot make up for the worst mexican food I have ever had.
