For appetizers we had Ahi (tuna)tower, coconut shrimp, crab Rangoon.
The taste was on point and very well presented. Coconut shrimp were crispy, and had a nice crunch when you bite into it. Squeeze fresh lemon and enjoy with the dipping sauce.
Loved the crab Rangoon, perfectly cooked to the flame perfection. The cheese and crab inside was nicely seasoned and soft and gooey, just the way it is supposed to.
Ahi Tower, nice generous position to share, loved the touch of Fran sprouts and tobiko on top.
We ordered from combo menu, which I belive is worth the experience. Steak and shrimp with fried rice, comes with noodles, veggies, soup and salad. Also ordered, steak and salmon, salmon and lobster.
Onion soup was light and refreshing, salad was crisp and fresh.
The hibachi chef was skilled, did his thing, very lively and engaging. We had a fun time. He prepared the fried rice, and noodles, had the veggies on saute white prepared the medium rare steak, shrimp, salmon and lobster. You can always request the level of cooking temperature and seasoning or spice level to your taste. Steak was really tender and juicy, shrimp were cooked perfectly, salmon was seasoned to a perfect balance with fresh lemon squeezed on top. Lobster was really buttery as it melts in your mouth.
You have to let your Hibachi Chef know how you like your food to be cooked, otherwise they will do what is just standard for the industry. I like my shrimp just pink not over cooked, salmon flakey and jucy, not dry. So don’t be shy and communicate with chefs, they are there for you to have a great experience.
Celebrated the birthday and anniversary, the servers brought the tempura fried ice-cream, with candle on top, sang happy birthday with drumbeat.
All in all had a great time, great experience and appreciated the food.
The food was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. We especially loved the Hibachi Noodles, which we enjoyed with perfectly cooked steak, lobster, and shrimp. The fact that they serve halal steak is a huge bonus!
What really made our evening was our hibachi chef. He was so funny and interactive, keeping us entertained and laughing the entire time he was preparing our meal. The service was top-notch, and the whole experience from start to finish was fantastic. If you’re looking for a delicious meal and a great time, Tokyo Harbor is the place to go!
Our cook was magnificent. Very engaging and enjoyable. Highly recommend going here. I tried the shrimp and lobster was very good! Highly recommended grabbing the filet mignon 9/10 rating
The crawfish was a solid 7/10
Great customer service though..
Tokyo Harbor in Plano turned our group dinner into a little show. Fifteen of us booked ahead—reservations are a must here—and circled Chef Evans’ grill. He kept everyone laughing with the onion volcano, spinning spatulas, and a perfect shrimp toss while nailing the steak and chicken at medium-rare. I took the $2 halal upgrade on both meats and loved having that option. The veggies stayed crisp, fried rice was flavorful, and the miso soup came out piping hot. Service stayed quick with refills and extra yum-yum even for our big table. Clean room, fair prices, and plenty of parking make this an easy repeat.
There were only four of us at the table, but the service and food were next-level. Usually with a smaller group, things can feel a bit low-energy, but the chef (Yasa) was awesome and really attentive and clearly cared about what was coming out of the kitchen.
Our server Kim was great too. She kept us in the loop the whole time and made us feel really comfortable and welcome.
And the food? Just incredible. Everything was full of flavor, and the great service made it taste even better. Definitely a place I’d come back to
