Rolling into downtown Edwardsville on a quiet Monday during Christmas break felt a bit like showing up to a party after everyone already went home. But fear not — because Dewey’s Pizza was the one house on the block still blasting good vibes and serving cold beer.
We walked in expecting “Monday energy,” but instead were greeted like long‑lost friends who finally decided to stop ghosting them. No wait, no fuss, just instant seating and a staff so genuinely cheerful I briefly wondered if they were running on Yuengling instead of coffee.
Speaking of Yuengling — we ordered a round, and let me tell you, it hit harder than a plot twist in a soap opera. Perfectly cold, perfectly refreshing, perfectly yes please, another.
Then came the star of the evening: the Dr. Dre pizza. And no, it didn’t drop a beat — it dropped a masterpiece. Fresh ingredients, perfectly balanced flavors, and a crust that honestly deserves its own fan club. Light and fluffy, but with just enough crunch to remind you it’s not messing around. This crust had personality. This crust had swagger. This crust said, “I’m a serious pizza, respect me.”
One of the most interesting parts? Their tag‑team service style. Every time we looked up, a new friendly face appeared — like Pokémon, but instead of battling, they brought beer and checked on our happiness levels. Food was amazing! Very friendly staff, fair prices, and amazing fresh hot food. My party had a 17″ pizza that everyone loved. It had a very different taste than most pizza places. The sauce is tangy and sweet and goes very well with the cheese. I had a calzone. The cheese inside the calzone was exquisite. The bread sticks were so fresh and the dough on all our foods was soft and perfectly cooked. Overall an amazing experience my first time trying and will definitely become a family favorite.

Dewey’s is our pick when we come to town. Consistently great food and great service. Tried the Caprice pizza tonight. Probably my new favorite pizza of all time. House salad – can never go wrong there either.

I love this place! The service is always so nice and friendly. I like the option to make your own pizza from the sauce to the toppings. I love the speciality pizzas, especially the Elote pizza in August. I only wish they would add a cheese sauce to the menu, other than that I Highly recommend

The pizza was good. We tried the classic red and white. They could use a bit more cheese, and the cheese wasn’t all the way to the crust on the red. They also probably would have been better fresh/dine-in than after a 30-minute drive home. Pizza’s were not on time and I had to wait about 5 mintutes with kids waiting in the car. Slightly overpriced for a cheese only pizza.

We have been here many times before and are never disappointed. The service was amazing. We got a half cheese have pepperoni which was cooked to perfection! We also got the side house salad and I do have to say I expected it to be a little bigger for $8. It was delicious though. Overall it was a great meal and we will definitely be eating here again.

Plenty of parking behind the building, iykyk. I’m vegetarian so can’t rate the meats but the service was over the top, not intrusive but all you’d want and felt like eating at a friend’s. For being on a main drag inside was surprisingly quiet and serene. My friends and I stayed two hours, chatting, and the time just flew.

A modern nice looking restaurant with very attentive and polite service. The pizza was thin crust and properly cooked. The real problem is it was very hard to find any cheese. For a total of $23.00, a little more cheese probably would be better. Actually the pizza has the possibility of being very good, as it was served it is only OK.
