I want to take a moment to recognize Ashley, our waitress at the IHOP in Bear. She was truly exceptional from start to finish. You could feel her kindness the moment she greeted us. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcomed—like she was happy we were there.
Ashley checked on us consistently without ever hovering. She anticipated what we needed before we even had to ask, kept our drinks full, and made sure every detail of our meal was right. Even with a busy dining room, she handled everything with patience, professionalism, and the best attitude.
What really stood out was her positive energy and the way she treated us like more than just another table. It’s rare to find someone who can balance efficiency, friendliness, and true care all at once, but Ashley does it effortlessly. Our experience was honestly one of the best we’ve had at any IHOP, and it was because of her.
IHOP is lucky to have her, and we will definitely be returning because of the service she provided.

Driving through Delaware and stopped here for late breakfast. Was hungry and had a little wait for the food but it was worth it. Everything was delicious. Pancakes soft and buttery. Spinach and mushroom omelette was amazing and so big. They have turkey sausages!! Donny our server was great and super attentive and definitely recommend. Thanks again for a good lunch/late breakfast.

I was traveling and decided to stop for breakfast, so I ordered IHOP online. I was really looking forward to it, but sadly I was very disappointed — the portion was much smaller than what’s shown in the photo, and the hash browns were bland and undercooked. I was hoping for a breakfast that would lift my mood and give me energy, but it ended up being a letdown. I hope the quality improves and matches what’s advertised.

Food is good, service is somewhat slow. Orders occasionally come out wrong, but they fix it. Sometimes it takes 20 minutes to remake on top of about 25 minutes average you would wait before. Realistically I would give this place a 3.5 out of 5. It’s nothing new, but a good place to hang out if you have time.

Krissy, and her manager were awesome! I needed a little help navigating the IHOP app. From beginning to end, Krissy delivered first class service. She’s a gem in the industry. We will gladly make the 25 minute drive to the Bear, DE location. We’ll see you soon!

I have been there many times over the past two decades and I also have a positive experience. Food quality and consistency along with friendly servers are definitely the main factors to all my repeat business. Plus the daily breakfast specials can’t be beat. Ham and Cheese Omelette with a short stack for $6 is a great meal at a fantastic value. I done but I also use the app for pickup and both venues are executed efficiently and efficiently by this location and staff.

Staff were friendly and took care of us (They serve with masks on) !!!! Maximum occupancy is 238 .It took a while for someone to attend us. May be beacuse of less staff. Dine in and take aways are allowed, Food was good and tasty. There were very less options for food when we were near lumspond state park ( We had to travel all the way to here for food)
