This place was amazing for a first visit! Hailey really took care of me and my party! The wines are nice and the flights are a good sample and experience to try something new. The entrees are tasty and the deserts are really nice. For date nights or a night out it really is great. Join their club its a really good value. Go eat, drink, see a show. They will take care of you.

Norman Brown was great. So two stars.
Sound system run by amateurs.
Food to be avoided. Stick with the burger if you gotta eat.
Service and staff was over all below average.
Atmosphere as good as any movie theater.
This place is run like no one is watching.
VC money or something.
Nobody cares.
Would I go back? If it was an artist I really really really wanted to see, Yeah.
Would I recommend it? No.
Nashville deserves better and definitely has better in all areas.

My family and I came to see Pierre Ben Sousan, and it was wonderful! He played so magnificently. But one thing that definitely needs improvement is the food. Why was it 25 bucks for 5 grapes and miniature slices of mediocre cheese. Every thing my family and I ordered was mediocre in general. The flatbread was 90% tomato sauce, with no unique flavor. The salad was alright but the price was not at all justifiable for the quantity we got. The requirement for each person to spend 25$ on top of the NOT CHEAP tickets was ridiculous. Atleast the food could’ve been better quality for the expensive price that it was. The taste was bland, and there was very little food on top of that. But the service was great! The waiters are very kind and so are the staff. The music was great, just the food needs improvement :).

I was honestly pretty underwhelmed by my visit to City Winery Nashville. We booked a wine tasting, but when we arrived the hostess seemed unsure about it and had to call someone for help before seating us. A server then came over and told us the wine tasting experience was not up and running yet, and instead we could choose a flight of wines ourselves. They did try to accommodate us, but it was disappointing not to receive what we specifically came for. I expected a guided tasting where the staff selected and explained the wines as a group experience. Instead we had to pick everything ourselves and were not even given extra glasses to share. Their website really needs updating because it feels misleading. Overall it felt more like a venue space than an actual winery experience.

We want to thank City Winery for hosting our small, table-side wedding dinner. The Cellar Room was the perfect setting for our intimate celebration, spacious enough for our group of 13 and enhanced by the lovely option to play music. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the evening. We made wonderful, lasting memories with our family and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We’ll definitely be recommending City Winery to others and look forward to returning for future events.

Posting this as constructive feedback, as I will continue to come to and support City Winery and the musicians who play here. I love that the City Winery has been a staple in live music and as a listening room. That said, as a first-time guest, I found myself disappointed a lot of night with the food and accommodations. Moving forward, at the next show we will likely only order drinks and opt out of dinner here – mainly because it’s too difficult eat at the tiny tables.

– The table was VERY tight. We were extremely thankful that the two other guests who were supposed to sit next to us opted to seek out another table that happened to be open. The guests were the ones to request this to the server, likely because they arrived at the table to see we had two plates of food and two drinks, and it was impossible to keep them in “our half” of the table. Both of our parties would have been very unhappy with the tight squeeze. It was anxiety-inducing, and we heard a lot of glasses break throughout the night at other tables (likely because of the very tight accommodations).

– This one is silly: The dips platter was great and the pita was delicious. Though…. what was listed as “crudité”… turned out to be celery and carrot sticks. I actually accidentally laughed when it was brought out (and that is completely unlike me). My thought is.. just be honest with what you’re serving. The menu made me expect something as least partially similar to a fancier vegetable “crudité”, not a typical buffalo wings side or kid’s snack. It wasn’t expensive, and no harm done, but this will live forever in the funny restaurant experiences category of my brain.

– The service at the front bar was very slow. We were hoping to grab a cocktail at the front bar and hang out until a little closer to show time. We were the only ones who hadn’t been served when we first arrived. Even so, we waited probably 15 minutes before our order was taken. We just about left to head back to our table out of disappointment before we were helped. I couldn’t really figure out if someone was supposed to be stationed at that bar full-time, as there was a lot of moving around. The service in the listening room was great, on par for how many people were in there.

– As the music got closer to ending, it felt nice to order a cup of coffee. But.. the coffee was bad bad. Though it likely wasn’t, it tasted like instant. I’ve had better gas station coffee.

great venue, we sat up front, so my only criticism is that the tables were a little cramped, but we had a great view and the sound was really good and not too loud.

I’ve only been here twice, and both times it was for a concert. I really like the setup, and it’s easy to get a good seat near the stage.

Unfortunately they have recently implemented a new policy that stipulates a $25 minimum per person in the concert venue. This is a bit excessive, especially when you have to add it to the cost of the concert ticket. Fortunately for me, my show was scheduled before the new policy was in effect and I was able to forego the minimum purchase requirement. This new policy will definitely have an impact on my decision to return, and I don’t anticipate attending any other shows as long as this policy is in place. It’s a shame because I really like the venue, but it’s unreasonable to penalize a customer who just wants to support the musical talent by attending the concert.

City Winery consistently has great shows, great food and Horrible Service. They are understaffed,, and you have to wait a long time for a drink or food. We went for Valentine’s Day, paid $90 for “love songs” in the upstairs lounge, and there was ONE bartender for 200 people. We sat at the bar, waited 30 minutes to be acknowledged before I went downstairs to get our drinks. When I returned 20 minutes later, the bartender Still had not acknowledged my boyfriend. After asking how we could order dinner and was ignored, l went downstairs and ordered food from the manager. The food arrived just as the show was ending. So much for a nice Valentine’s Day dinner.

In addition to trying to get food and drinks, The event was sold out, so was the concert downstairs, and they had TW0 people scanning tickets. Folks were confused and there was no direction to let folks know that everyone stands in the same line for both events. It was chaos leaving a lot of people frustrated.

It’s a great venue with a lot to offer but they have to do better with service. It’s not the place to go for a special occasion dinner. You may to eat before you go.
