Very good burger place. Today, they are called smash burgers, but since 1948, this Calumet City spot has been cracking out some really good food. I definitely enjoyed my food, bacon double cheeseburger with fries, and a strawberry shake. Delicious

Always great food and service. Big juicy burgers and Crispy golden fries. What ever oil they use keep using it because the fries are awsome. They have shakes Aldo but this time I had rootbeer and one was enough because the glasses are big.

We stopped here on our way into Indiana from Chicago and would love to go back again. Everything we had was super tasty – we ordered hot dogs, onion rings, a shake, and the Irish nachos (the nachos came in a huge portion!). My only regret is that we couldn’t eat more haha. The service was also great – super fast, really friendly, and also quite helpful. I was brought a to-go cup for my drink when I didn’t finish it before I even had to ask!

These are the greatest burgers and fries ive ever had. Not only are there options for single, double, triple and quadruple patties but, they are all so tasty! I recommend this place and will definitely return again. Although the price is high, well worth it for taste.

I rarely eat at schoops because of health reasons and budget. I spent about 17$ with tax for a double cheese burger. no bacon, Its huge. Its delicious. Its worth it once in a while. The strawberry malt shake is also good.

I ordered take out last night and when I called she asked me if I could be there by 7 because they were about to close early. I told her yes, because I’m 7 minutes away from there and at the time it was 6:45. I proceeded to place my order and my wife went to pick it up. When we ate that food it immediately made my wife sick! She was throwing up and had diarrhea at the same time. Then my stomach started to cramping up and I ran and took some pepto bismal. I don’t know what happened but it was a horrible experience. My burger was also pink on the inside so I stopped eating mine. If you were going to rush our food and throw it together because you were closing early, then I would rather you didn’t take our order at all! Not only were we sick but we spent $40 on food that made us sick!!

What ever you do… please understand that you will pay STEAK HOUSE prices for SHAKE SHACK service… I purchased 1 bacon cheese burger, 1 patty melt with bacon, 1 kids hamburger, 1 kids shake, 2 French fries, 3 drinks, 1 water… my bill was ruffle $67.00,… they put their own tip of $15.00,.. then $7.00 tax… and to top it all off, they charge me 3. Something% for paying with my card… all I know is that I paid $91. And change for my bill… so I say that if you want to pay for insufficient moral that explains the service and have you leaving unsatisfied… then by all means… dine at this joint… I’ll never go again… besides, we didn’t eat all of our food… not because it was to much to eat, but it wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, and neither of us had a full meal… my over all impression is we thumbs down this joint
