Ok that’s the most of my big brain anyone gets before I start writing a food review site.
So let’s gets to it
From the very first steps up to the bar from the front porch, I felt like i was stepping onto one of the many yachts or cruise ships circling in the port just behind me. Even walking in at 11 30 on a Thanksgiving its a good amount of people here. Gotta be decent right? RIGHT! I hadn’t even made it past the bar before I was greeted by 3 different employees, once by the bartender and once by a server and a host just walking in. Buddy I’ve eaten in luxury restaurants not sitting in a tourist venue on a Thanksgiving already busy 30 mins into the restaurant opening… so let’s just say I was “above impressed ” as my intro into the place. I was offered a bar or a booth, i slide into my bench and start my war with the menu. I say war, because even though I don’t really suffer from any dietary restrictions (other than , ewww that’s nasty) I battle with indecisiveness when it comes to good food. The eastern border of taste was being represented by a pacific stir-fry bowl , with them broccoli I like!.. flash fried vegetables lil teriyaki sauce and the chicken over the rice, a hit! But end the it was the Caribbean that won. That summer taste beat my hunger into a willing retreat, and through combined efforts of Jimmy’s jammin’ jambalaya , set of his jerk Caribbean wings( extra sauce) and a tall bottle of Landshark to wash it down, the afternoon lunch/ dinner war of 2025 Thanksgiving was won.
He introduced our server and proceeded to attend to the restaurant. The server was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. I saw the manager also multitasking as he was attending the hostess stand as well as the kitchen and made sure our food came out on time.
Thank you Raul and his team for making our time at Margaritaville amazing. Our family had a great time.
We got ourselves a Memorial Cup for Jimmy as well as the Cajun Shrimp Dip and Coconut Shrimp.
Gellisa (Lisa) took care of us at the bar and she was so fun, on point and a great bartender. If you see her, sit at her side of the bar and you are good to have a great time.
Our recent visit to Margaritaville was a mixed experience. While the food was decent and our server, Eric, provided excellent service, we did have some concerns. The nachos were enormous and easily fed both my husband and me, although we would have appreciated a bit more meat. The drinks were a bit pricey but tasted good!
However, upon reviewing our receipt and bank statement after returning home from vacation, we noticed a significant discrepancy. Our receipt indicated a gratuity of $23, bringing the total to $167, but our bank statement reflected a charge of $201. Even accounting for a potential 20% additional tip, the final amount still doesn’t align with what was stated on the receipt.
Whether it’s a $5 or $25 difference, it raises questions about the accuracy of the final charge. We just wanted to share this experience to encourage others to verify their receipts and bank statements for peace of mind.
