This review will be a tricky one
First thing first, I really like the layout, design and atmosphere of this restaurant.

Second, the service was OK but I like the service I had at Riley’s(both times) and GLOWBAL better.

Now for the food. I don’t think what I ate tonight does this restaurant justice. My meal was a set dinner my Banker gifted us (very grateful).
-Appetizer:Beef Carpaccio 3/5 (cheese could’ve been broken up more)
-Salad: Asian inspired Beef salad 2/5
-Main: Australian Wagyu 3/5
(I’m sure this steak was good for what it is “BUT” in my opinion anything other than Japanese Wagyu is a Knockoff Wagyu like Australian and American Wagyu.) No offense. This restaurant does have a good selection of Japanese Wagyu which I think I gotta come back for.
-Dessert: Again this was a set meal dessert which I wasn’t a fan of. 1/5

Last but not least the drinks we ordered was FANTASTIC, definitely my favorite part of the meal.
Overall:
I think I gotta come back for the Kobe or Miyazaki A5 Wagyu in the future so they can redeem themselves.

An incredible experience and 10/10 service. Our server, who was also the bartender on Friday, February 13, was absolutely perfect! Unfortunately, I don’t remember his name, but he was tall, had dark hair, and was working on the rooftop. He even offered us a special coffee for our anniversary, which was such a thoughtful touch.
I ordered the filet mignon, my husband the New-York, mine was cooked perfectly, although my husband’s was slightly more rare than expected. We started with the burrata and the wagyu carpaccio, and they were absolutely delicious.

For dessert, I chose the house specialty (I can’t remember the name), but the flavors were exquisite. One of the best steakhouses I’ve been to, and our server’s exceptional service truly made all the difference in our experience.

I had high hopes for this place but we got kind of disappointed.

Terrible service and poor attention to our physically disabled guest.

The food overall was very good, with some real highlights. The brioche was outstanding, easily one of the best parts of the meal and absolutely worth mentioning. The chicken
was also delicious and well prepared, and dessert was truly out of this world. A fantastic way to end the evening.

That said, there were a few disappointments. The calamari tasted like it had been frozen, chopped up, and heavily salted rather than freshly prepared. The mac and cheese sticks were also very underwhelming and not what we expected from a restaurant of this caliber.

Service at reception was another downside. We had booked our table weeks in advance, yet were still made to wait about 30 minutes at the front before being seated, which took away from the overall experience. We had told them about someone in our party that was disabled and they made sure we got the farthest table on the second floor.

With some improvements to consistency and reservation handling, this could easily be an exceptional dining experience.

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was great, and also the service was amazing from beginning to end. One of the highlights of the night was when the staff found out I was celebrating my birthday—everyone who saw it came over and wish me, which was such a thoughtful gesture and something I’ve never experienced before. It truly made the night special.

A huge thank you to our serverJamie, who did a fantastic job. Very energetic, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. You can really tell that everyone working at this location is happy to be there, and that positive energy shows. Highly recommend this restaurant, and we will definitely be coming back!

We went during Dine Out. Upgraded to beef tartare. It was made so smooth and sauce matched perfectly with beef and egg yolk and shallots etc. The steak is excellent no wonder they are so proud to showcase dried age steak inside the restaurant. Our server was very responsive and observant. Overall experience is to high standard of fine dining.

Stumbled upon this menu and since I haven’t been to this restaurant I decided to give it a try, and it did not disappoint. Atmosphere and ambience was very nice with modern music playing in the background but not too loud to raise your voice to have a conversation. Steak were juicy and tender. Seafood cooked to perfection. Dessert was not too too swueet just how I like it. Our server Michael was delightful and very good at making sure we were taken care of in a timely manner. Hope to return soon to try other dishes.

We had a very nice dining experience at black +blue Vancouver tonight.

My husband and I celebrate our 37 years anniversary.
we felt warm welcomed by received their Happy Anniversary Card when we arrived , and a complimentary dessert after dinner .
Every dish was fantastic. I love their steak and scallops most.

Our server was Micheal , he is very nice , and friendly , checking on us often to see if we need anything.

We wanted to celebrate our 3rd anniversary at a very special restaurant. We had originally booked another restaurant in Vancouver, but after seeing someone’s Instagram post, we found out that Black+Blue has a great Monday deal. So we changed our plans and decided to visit Black+Blue instead.
Many of our friends who had visited before highly recommended this restaurant, so we were very excited for our first visit. From the moment we walked in, we felt warmly welcomed by the staff. Our servers, Lloyd and Michael, were amazing.
We ordered the Monday special “Land & Sea” ($145 for two people), and everything was wonderful. We both usually eat a lot, but we were so full that we had to ask the server to pack up our dessert!
The food, atmosphere, and service were all perfect. We will definitely come back again!

The cocktails and wine selection were excellent, and the team’s recommendations made the evening even more special. The staff went the extra mile to make the birthday celebration feel memorable, which we truly appreciated.

Scott saved this dining experience for us! My husband and I have both worked in the service industry over the years and he was by far one of the most observant and detail oriented servers we’ve ever had. The food was of course a 10/10! The table side Caesar really stole the show for us, spectacular!! The reason Scott had to save our evening was the front desk staff. Rude, standoffish and not what we would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Didn’t offer to take our coats, the bartender had to ask them to take it after mine fell off the chair multiple times. (Amazing bar staff as well!!) Needless to say, our Valentines dinner was saved by Scott and he’s the only reason I’m giving full stars. The food can be spectacular, but when your first impression walking into a restaurant is what we experienced, yikes! Thank you Scott!!
