Huevos Rancheros wouldn’t have been my first choice but I’m glad I felt adventurous to try something different. Delicious, fresh, eggs cooked perfectly, avocado slices for days, sauce was delish, and the crispy corn tortillas stayed crispy until the last bite. That country potato hash on the side was the perfect touch.

Hubby loved his Mike’s Hot honey chicken and waffles and so did I. It was the perfect bite of spicy, sweet and salty. The chicken breast was fried to a perfect GBD, perfectly crunchy and tender on the inside. Definitely have to order that next time. Our server was fantastic!

Such cute atmosphere and the service was excellent! Our waitress Kamila was so nice and attentive. Delicious food, family friendly restaurant in Folsom. Muffins are a must have.

I used to love visiting this Mimi’s over the years. They HAD great food, value and most importantly great service. In recent visits, the quality of service has gone downhill. Some of the waiters don’t even acknoledge customers and dont refill drinks. Even the taste and quality of some food has changed and dont taste the same anymore. I believe they have cut/changed ingredients AND raised prices. The cafe mocha I had barely had any mocha in it. But they expect a minimum 18% post tax tip…up from 15%, on higher priced food and worst customer experience? Not going to this location anymore.

Mimi’s Cafe is a solid choice when you’re craving comforting, hearty food in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The menu has a great variety, especially for breakfast and brunch lovers, with generous portions that feel worth the price. Their muffins are a standout favorite for many guests, and the breakfast options are consistently popular.
The service is usually friendly and attentive, and the cozy café-style setting makes it a nice spot for family meals or casual catch-ups. While experiences can vary by location, many diners praise the value, portion sizes, and classic comfort-food feel that Mimi’s is known for. Overall, it’s a dependable place for a satisfying meal without the fuss.

I had such a wonderful experience dining here. The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can tell that a lot of care goes into both the preparation and the ingredients.

The service was just as impressive. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They made great recommendations and checked in often to make sure everything was perfect without being intrusive.

Overall, it was a delightful dining experience from start to finish. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and top-notch service!

Husband and I went here for a brunch date for the very first time. Both impressed with flavor and quality of the dishes.
The pancake sampler was amazing.
My egg white and avocado croissant breakfast was delicious, not too heavy.
I have to mention the iced latte. I’m a big coffee person, and I’m very picky about quality of my coffee and I was expecting another watery diner latte but it was soooo good. Tasted like real coffee, and tasted fresh. I was very happy.

Ordered the Eggs Benedict w/ salmon & although it was good, it wasn’t very filling. So ordered some crepes & that dish was bigger than expected so all in all it was a great experience.! I would definitely eat there again.

We went and it was almost empty but the employee was went to get something and as he passed by he loudly said “5 minutes” and his tone of voice was not very welcoming or kind then an a different employee came to actually welcome us and ask us how we’re doing, how many people so on. And the guy was getting something else and said “I already told them 5 minutes” in a slightly mad type of way like to get the employee welcoming us to go do something else. Not very nice don’t remember the names

I had not eaten at the Folsom Mimi’s for quite some time and always enjoyed this location and the Roseville location (now closed) very much. My Air Force Vet husband and I went there this morning for late breakfast and to take advantage of their discount on the Verterans meal. The place was not busy (many, many open tables, booths, and counterspace), but the woman covering both the hostess station and waitressing said the waits were long because they were short one cook). We were seated about 30 minutes after we arrived so not too bad, all things considered. My husband ordered Corned been hash, hard cooked fried eggs and honey bran muffin. The only thing that was acceptable was the muffin. His eggs came seriously undercooked and he said the corned beef hash had an unpleasant, wierd taste. My over medium eggs and bacon were okay but the toast that I always eat by putting my egg on top of a slice of toast to absorb the runny yolk was not delivered with the meal. The very pale toast came about 5 minutes after the meal was served. By that time my eggs were luke warm at best.
The limited wait staff that was present seemed to be doing the best they could with the delays from the kitchen, however.

In addition to the disappointment with food, the restaurant maintenance seems to have significantly declined since I visited here last. The women’s restroom looked dingy and not very clean. Several floor tiles were missing outside of the first stall…a definite trip hazard. The hammered “gold” sinks looked dirty and in some areas were turning green like a cheap piece of jewerly turns color. Cob Webs were noted haning from the can lights. The whole space needs a good cleaning and renovation.
Sadly, I will be surprised if this location doesn’t soon meet the same fate as the Roseville location (i.e. Closed). With so many other restaurant options in Folsom I don’t see us returning here.

The service is *so good.*

The food is just fine. The muffins are amazing.

It’s quiet, cool, and perfect to unwind on a weekday evening.

Underrated spot for comfort food. Great alternative to Mel’s Diner.
