I’d been hearing about this place forever, so my husband and I finally made the 45 minute trek—and it was worth every mile!!! MY #1 TIP: ORDER AHEAD ONLINE!!!! We placed our order the night before and showed up, grabbed our order from the cashier, and left. There were about 20 people waiting for their orders, and another 20 in the line waiting to order. It was the best choice we made.
We ate our amazing sandwiches in the car. Ordered both a spicy and regular shug sandwich, and an everything bagel with strawberry cream cheese…all exceeded our expectations. Just the perfect amount of bacon and avocado too. Even the coffee was great! So sad we live so far, but if we’re ever driving by, we will 100% be stopping here again. It lived up to the hype!!!

I have such an addiction to this place. I think I might have ordered it 3 times this week and I’m not ashamed. Now I’ve had bagel sandwiches before, and the bagel either is too thick and crispy or too thin, or not really giving flavor. But these bagels are PERFECT!!! They also put the perfect amount of cream cheese, the other cheeses are amazing. And don’t even get me started on the freaking hash browns…they are so perfectly crisp!! The spicy shug is top tier but you can’t go wrong w/customizing. Service is always so friendly and wait time has never been bad even when they’re packed. Also the best iced coffee ever!!! Love love love <3

Got the Shug on an everything bagel and pepper jack cheese. It’s a bacon egg and cheese with the addition of a crispy hashbrown. The hashbrown was quite crisp and I enjoyed that.
Bagel was well seasoned and a light salted exterior.

We used to love coming to this place for bagels, but lately its been so bad. Today we added cream cheese in our spicy turkey bagel and barely got a smear of cream cheese if any. They’re so stingy with the sauces and cream cheese in the sandwiches and everything comes out so dry. Im adding a picture for reference.

Shugs is a Dallas staple. The mockingbird location is cozy, and even when it’s crowded with a line out the door, it’s good service and is relatively quick. Went with the classic spicy shug with avocado, salt & pepper, and ketchup (don’t knock it til you try it). Everything bagel is always the way to go. Fresh ingredients is what makes the bagel. 10/10

If I told you I drive all the way from OKC to get these bagels would you believe me?!? Well it’s the absolute truth! These bagels are top tier and their cream cheese is so good. We had an issue with our order being out of stock and the manager got us fresh bagels made. We will continue to drive all the way to Dallas until maybe they build one in Oklahoma!

The Onion garlic bagel is Perfection!!!!!!!!!!! I had the Pesto chicken onion garlic bagel. My husband had the Buffalo chicken onion garlic bagel with coleslaw!!!! The Chicken cutlet was crispy and juicy!!! The Flavors blended so well!!!!! Love the New York Feel!!!!! Small, quint, and busy!!!!!! Very friendly! Fast and efficient!! Can’t wait to go back!!!!!
