Delish. Smart. Adorable server, when I asked for tofu, they replied “do you eat fish sauce?” Intuitive. Vegan bowl.
Beautiful and vegetables enough. Though I feel the par-cooked yellow onions a bit heavy in amount, it was a fine experience and I would call this “home” anytime.
Vermicelli bowl with tofu. Vegan. Go here!

I love this restaurant! This is my go-to Vietnamese restaurant in Tacoma. I have been here many many times and I will keep coming back. The owners are so kind, they make some great food, and the prices are fair. I highly recommend their Pho, Bánh mì, vermicelli, and the grilled eggplant with Tofu (CàTim Nướng Xào Đậu Hũ)

My husband has been coming to this restaurant since he was 3 years old. Our whole 17 year marriage he has hyped this restaurant up to me. I finally had it today, and it was everything he said it would be and more. Kevin is an amazingly hospitable person, and made me feel welcome and like I was at home. The food is authentic and fresh. The prices (for 2025/2026) are AMAZING!! When I saw how much the plates/pho bowls were I was blown away. I can’t wait to come here again & again now that I moved up the street! All I will say is parking isn’t the best, but people are usually willing to let you take your time to park how you want. And that’s not the restaurants fault really, as I’m sure parking was a lot different than when they opened in 1989!! Love Vien Dong, they deserve every word of hype they get!

We came in right after the parade of Lunar New Year, and got lucky to beat the crowd. There were a lot of tables and space, and the waitstaff was really quick and all friendly.
I will say, this was probably the fastest I’ve ever seen a bowl of pho made, and I had my doubts. But it did not disappoint at all. The egg rolls were hot and homemade, and our meals were delicious.

We made a quick stop here for an easy dinner while on the road, we couldn’t help ourselves, so we pulled over and just took it all in. I’ve been eating Pho all over the country, and these place will feed you. They give out a generous amount of food. And the best part of these place is the price. We are thankful for our meal/dinner. Thank you.

Tried this place after a few friends recommended it, and the pho here really surprised me in a good way. The broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles were cooked just right, and the portions were generous. The pho bowl itself felt comforting and authentic, exactly what you want from a pho spot. Overall a very solid experience and definitely a place worth coming back to.

I have eaten here for years, but my last visit wasn’t a positive experience. I was very disappointed with the cleanliness of the soup spoons. They are so old that you can see how people have used fingernails to try and remove the wear and tear on the spoon. Another issue was that they didn’t have extra napkins when we asked to clean a liquid spill. We ate and cashed out. Upon exiting, we noticed outside they were returning with napkins. I also noticed the rare beef slices were a lot smaller than usual. I would still recommend a place to eat.
