I don’t usually write reviews, but this morning’s experience deserves to be called out.

I pulled into the McDonald’s drive-thru bright and early, the only car in sight. I sat there for five full minutes — no greeting, no “we’ll be right with you,” nothing but dead silence. Finally, I asked politely, “Hey, you guys open?”

The response? A curt, dismissive “Yeah, if you hold on.” No apology, no acknowledgment of the wait, just attitude.

Translation: “We’re open, but we’d rather pretend you don’t exist. We’ll get to you when we feel like it.”

That was the breaking point. I didn’t even bother ordering — I drove off.

Listen, if I wanted to be ignored, I’d call my cat. If I wanted attitude before coffee, I’d just talk to my ex. But when I pull into a drive-thru, I expect at least the bare minimum: acknowledgment that I exist.

McDonald’s, if you can’t manage basic customer service when there’s literally only one other car in line, what hope is there when the place is busy? A drive-thru should be fast, friendly, and efficient. Instead, I got ignored, brushed off, and left annoyed enough to take my money elsewhere. You’re welcome Burger King.

If this is the standard now, it’s no wonder people are flocking to your competitors. Do better. You should change your slogan to “I’m Leavin’ It.”

UPDATE: Thanks for the copy‑paste link, “owner.” Nothing says “we value your feedback” like outsourcing it to a corporate boilerplate. That’s the digital equivalent of shrugging while flipping me off.

It doesn’t just prove my point — it screams that the problem with your location is top‑down indifference. It’s not even a real response.

If you can’t respond like a human, then that explains why your drive‑thru is staffed by clowns who treat customers like an inconvenience, and why your location needs new ownership.

I ordered a head online. It was a single hot beverage., I pulled up in line at the drive-through at 5:40 AM. I had to call into the drive-through machine at 5:45 and was was replied with an incredibly rude response along the lines of you’ll just have to wait till I’m ready. I then proceeded to wait another five minutes with no one in line. Then when they finally took my online code, the drive through person was extremely rude and then proceeded to have negative words about me to the person behind me in the drive-through which I clearly heard then at the window for my food. I waited another 10 minutes during this 10 minute wait I was looking at my finish beverage sitting on the counter. I wish I could use stronger words on this review. Am I crazy that it shouldn’t take almost 20 minutes for a single beverage that I ordered ahead of time.?
Looks like me and Arc Man dealt with the same person. This employee probably needs to be let go if it’s this common

I moved to the area recently and each experience has been poor.

Last week, I ordered a breakfast sandwich at 1045 and drove to McDonald’s. I had to wait in the line and didn’t get to the front until 11:04. The cashier told me I’m not going to get my food because it’s after 11. I said okay, but I already paid on the app and asked what to do. She gave me my receipt and told me to pull up and they might give it to me. I did as instructed and the lady at the second window was extremely rude to me. She was shaming me for ordering breakfast food during their lunch rush. Okay, the app allowed me to do so. I said it wasn’t a big deal and asked for a refund and the told me I had to speak with a manager. I asked for the manager and she said he was busy… okay. I left frazzled and called the number on the receipt for a refund. The last I spoke to said she would forward the info to the manager and they would call me back within 48 hours. It’s been over a week.

Today, I go back to order a breakfast sandwich. It’s a sausage egg and cheese bagel. When I open my sandwich in the parking lot, there is no egg and it is cold. The inside is closed, so I had to go back through the drive through line. When I get to the front, I show the lady my sandwich and explain it’s missing egg. This is the same worker who was rude to me before. She tells me I need to give her the receipt, which thankfully I had, and to give her back the sandwich. The manager comes and asks if I want him just to put egg on the platter and to give me back the sandwich, or make a whole new one. I asked for a new one. The manager runs the sandwich out to me, and I am convinced they just plopped egg on the one I handed him back.

*The reason I have gone back several times is because I’m pregnant and this is my one craving. I’m done with this location now.

Went to St Joe McDonald’s got half my order went back around went through side door bc half my order was not in my bag. She started yelling saying she’s gonna call the cops on me. So I went back around waiting in line for another 20 min asked for a refund she was rude rolled her eyes made me pull up and wait an extra 15 for my refund. Her name was Dina I’m a general manager at Jersey Mikes so I know what good customer service and hospitality is and SHE IS NOT EVEN CLOSE. Needs terminated. Also was brought out the incorrect refund twice and made to wait another 6 mins.

the service here was so bad i’d rather go eat burger king. this is the nightmare blunt rotation mcdonalds. this was more Wcdonalds than Mcdonalds. i’m considering therapy because of how disappointing this was. i feel like they spit in my face metaphorically. they made my sandwich with scrambled eggs instead of a round egg.

This McDonald’s is so disappointing every time I go. It actually made me stop eating McDonald’s for a while but every few months I always go back to see if maybe they got better….nope the food is still bad. My fries were stale and cold. The quarter pounder patty always tastes odd…. I would rather drive 20mins to a different McDonalds than eat at this one. Maybe it’s for the best that I’m always disappointed, keeps me from eating fast food often lol

We ordered drive thru and all though the service was alright, the food definitely was not. Myself, my husband and our toddler, we all got sick from the food.

Very very very poor service. I had a mobile order to be picked up thru drive thru. I have the code at drive thru over mic. I gave it to the attendant at payment window. Then when I reached pickup window, after 30 minutes, the attendant there failed to recognize the code I was showing her and asked me to ga back to the payment window….. instead of giving me the food that already paid for…… ultimately after explaining to the McDonald employee on the pickup window what a drive thru mobile code is and what I ordered I finally got my food
