I was looking for an easy lunch with gluten free sandwich options for me, and multiple optins for my kids. This place is a gem! The staff is lovely and a joy to watch working together. The place is spotless and they were kind and caring. Also, food was ready in less than ten minutes. Kids got biscuits and gravy and I got a pastrami sandwich. They toasted the bread perfectly. One kid said best biscuits and gravy he’s ever had. We highly recommend it!

While on a trip to the Oregon coast, my family and I stopped at Nye Beach Cafe in Newport OR for breakfast and were really glad we did. I ordered a classic American breakfast with hashbrowns, bacon, eggs, and toast, and everything was cooked just right. The standout for me was their housemade blackberry jam — easily some of the best I’ve had.

The staff was very friendly, the prices felt reasonable for a coastal breakfast spot, and the experience was great overall. My wife doesn’t always finish her breakfast when we eat out, but this time she cleaned her plate, which says a lot.

If you’re in the area, I’d definitely recommend stopping in.

Real fresh food from a warm, small space but I’ve been hitting the breakfast here for years and it never disappoints. My fave is the Blythe Breakfast Burrito but they offer lots of other options, breakfast sandos, pancakes, etc and a full on lunch menu. Don’t sleep on their bread — it’s made in-house. Warm servers, very down home and real. Get here early though if ya want a table!

From the moment we walked in, it was clear this restaurant is something special. The staff and ownership went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The owner himself took the time to talk with our kids, my mom, and my wife, sharing the history of the restaurant and his vision for it. That personal touch — combined with genuine warmth — made the visit memorable before we even tasted the food.

And the food… absolutely phenomenal. My wife and I both had the tuna sandwich — hers on their homemade gluten-free sourdough, mine on their regular homemade sourdough. Both were outstanding, but the gluten-free version was hands-down the best we’ve ever tasted. The clam chowder was the best I’ve ever had — rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Every dish we saw, from salads to soups, was clearly made from scratch with fresh ingredients and care.

They truly left no stone unturned, from accommodating dietary needs to making sure every detail of the meal was perfect. If you’re looking for not just a meal, but an experience that makes you feel like family while serving you food you’ll be thinking about for days, this is the place.

We recently came to Newport for a last minute vacation. I read reviews on this place and knew I had to try them!
We went Friday morning for breakfast. My husband and I got the dolphin omelette. I got mine with corn tortillas instead of the toast. But my husband got the sourdough with Marionberry. I have to say the homemade corn tortillas were so fresh and the best I’ve ever had! Highly recommend getting them with anything you get here because they were so good. I almost wanted to buy extra to bring some home with us. The sourdough was amazing too (husband let me have a bite) you could tell it was homemade too! The staff was so nice and the place was very inviting! We will be coming back the next time we come visit because now it’s our go to breakfast place. I even recommended it to two friends coming to the area this same weekend.

Don’t hesitate!! Go and experience this amazing Gem of a place for yourself!

Yummy food and very filling. I ordered uncle Floyd’s burrito with no onion and added avocado. Hubby ordered patty’s choice with French toast. We also go a side of hash browns. Along with the coconut passion juice and coffee, our total was $50. Service was slow because of how busy it was when we came on a Saturday morning. Very small cafe so it was a bit clausty. There was a waitlist for a seat.

I would rate this place a 10/10 and come back if I were ever in the area again.
I ordered the Uncle Floyd’s Burrito and it was delicious. It includes: Sausage, peppers, onions, scrambled eggs, & cheddar. And salsa served on the side. I also had bacon added onto mine. It was delicious and fulfilling!

Service: Top notch service from the cafe. The waitress I had was super friendly and made sure I got everything I needed and had no problems. Thanks so much <3

Today marked our second visit to this extraordinary Cafe, and once again, the food surpassed our expectations in a truly magnificent way. The Rustic Scramble and Loaded Hash Browns we ordered were absolutely sublime. The exceptional service further elevated our experience to new heights, and we’re already eagerly anticipating our next visit whenever we’re in the area.

We came in for lunch and they hadn’t started serving tacos yet, but they heard us talking about wanting them and were so nice to offer to make them early. They make all their bread fresh – sour dough which is awesome. Great food and great service. The owner chatted with us for a bit and seems like a very nice guy. Highly recommend this place.
