Social Profile:

A fine dining restaurant, exquisitely restored Grand Ballroom & prohibition-style speakeasy centered in the historic district of the Village of Richfield. Reservations and walk-ins are welcome! As a Ukrainian native, Olesia’s passion for cooking stemmed from the finest cook in their home village. Growing up on a farm, Olesia appreciated the benefits of using only fresh meats and produce by raising their own animals and growing their own fruits and vegetables. All of these traits were brought to Olesia’s previous restaurant Olesia’s Place and now Olesia’s Taverne of Richfield, where fine dining meets Ukrainian flair.

Tavern in an 1886 building offering steaks & seafood, plus a martini bar, a patio & live music.

We had a group of 6 .Service was fantastic, with a well informed waiter.
The Charcuterie Board and Lobster Bisque were perfect appetizers. I recommend the Jala Mango Margaritas.
This is the place for steak. I can highly recommend the ribeye and filet without any reservations.

We chose Olesia’s for our wedding venue and can’t recommend them enough! We discovered them years ago and have enjoyed their menu and beautiful decor, the ballroom exceeded our expectations, along with working with Alina, the event coordinator. She was like our personal wedding planner, and made sure every detail from food, to decor, to staying on time during our celebration was perfectly met. She even took pictures and mini videos for us to enjoy so we didn’t miss a thing. The staff was fabulous and helpful and paid attention to every detail! We are still getting compliments from our guests on how they enjoyed the food and how beautiful it all was! We can’t say enough and will definitely use them in the future for our family celebrations!

We had our wedding celebration at Olesias and it was perfect! We kind of had a “micro-wedding” and kept things more minimal as far as our ceremony and celebration. Yet we still had some traditional aspects (cake cutting, first dances and speeches) The decor is so elegant and classy. The staff was amazing too! So so grateful!

This is a beautiful date night restaurant in an historic building. Our food and service was excellent. We started with the porky fries and soup flight. Lobster bisque and borscht were our favorites of the three. The pork fries were well seasoned and the garlic aioli was the perfect dip. We had the Olesia’s sampler platter and pork schnitzel and a side of the beet and walnut salad. Everything was fresh and delicious, especially the mushroom gravy on the schnitzel!

Absolutely fantastic experience. The food was incredible. Service was wonderful, despite it being busy. It’s a beautiful restaurant with a very lively atmosphere. We had a great time.

I was really looking forward to coming here based off of the restaurants history and reviews. I should have gone elsewhere and do not recommend anything about this place.

The receptionist was not engaging or even polite. Once we were sat, it took 22 minutes for our server to make an appearance. She, I believe Olivia, seemed surprised we were even there. Which is funny because there were only three tables in use.

The food was bad. We started with crab cakes (2 for $18). The only flavor they had was a dirty burnt oil flavor on the top crust I assume was from the pan. I had the lamb chops…which were obviously prepared by someone who has never cooked lamb. It was dry and tough. My asparagus was under cooked and I was given fried potatoes instead of mashed potatoes.

The server was quick to ask if we we all finished….while we were still eating.

I’m not sure what people are used to when rating a restaurant as a 4 or 5, but this is not it.

We’ve been wanting to try this highly regarded restaurant since it opened in its new location, but then Covid and life happened and here it is 5 years later and we finally got there! I have to say it was both worth the effort and it will not be our last visit. The food was delicious, the service attentive, and the cocktails perfect. Some dishes we were familiar with, some had a different twist on what we’re used to, and some we’d never had before. The good news is there are no mistakes here! Try the flight of soup if you can’t decide. Go for the Ukrainian specialties, you can get a steak anywhere. A complete new thing that we will get again was the Chebureki – served as an appetizer, it could also serve as a meal. Our server was knowledgeable and helpful and quick to offer a tiny taste of a sauce so we could decide between two entrées. My only issue at all is how incredibly noisy the room was. My husband has a cochlear implant and my SIL is soft spoken and it was not easy to try to have table conversation as a result. A little noise baffling could go a long way towards a better dining experience. However – a 5 star rating is completely warranted on all other criteria.

My family chose our favorite for Mother’s Day. Not usually open on a Sunday, Olesia’s delivered a special celebration. We started with deviled eggs and crab cakes. I was able to have my favorite lamb chops while my husband had the filet meatballs and pasta. My son had a chicken special which looked amazing. We all enjoyed desserts! At the end of the meal, I was given a rose and it is blooming beautifully. At Olesia’s, I always feel like family and the cuisine is always amazing!

We came for lunch and it was very quiet, so we were surprised! We’ve heard it gets busy in the evening. Our service was excellent, the dining room is beautiful, and the food was delicious. I tried the soup flight, and wow the lobster bisque stands out! The chicken paprikash soup was also good. The 3rd, I think a vegetable soup, was very sweet and just didn’t mesh well with the other flavors, but I was so excited to have a soup flight I didn’t care! I wish I had taken a picture of it, but I dug in too quickly. My husband got the meatball sliders and enjoyed them. We will definitely return!

Best dining experience we have had since visiting Europe last summer. We were told everything was ‘made from scratch’ and it was obviously true. From start to finish, a perfect meal. Excellent service without ever being annoying. We cannot wait to return. Celebrated 2026 with our Adult children and it was truly a lovely afternoon in a beautiful setting. I noticed someone online said ‘overpriced’ …all I can say is ‘you get what you pay for’…I say ‘good value for outstanding food and service.’
