I had a wonderful experience at Slim Chickens Helotes. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by Luke with a friendly Hello and Welcome. I expressed that I was a 1st timer and he explained the menu and gave suggestions. I went with the customer favorite, Chicken tenders basket. They were so delicious and fresh. Made to order and tasty. Fries were very well seasoned and crispy. They other a wide variety of dipping sauces. Chicken and Waffles is also listed on the menu!! Yum!! Military Mondays discount for Military members!!

I’m sorry, DO NOT buy wings here…why does the lemon pepper wings have to be about cooked to 177 degrees internal and the results are Horrible. The wings are too over cooked. Additionally, do not expect shakes at this location even though they are advertised in the store on the menu. Fries .. overcooked. The toast was the best thing placed in front of me. However, the chicken strips and chocolate brownie was absolutely delightful so my children tell me.

All in All pretty dang good. The slim sauce is pretty good, the ranch is on point, the fries were really awesome, as well as the chicken strips. The toast wasn’t really very good, maybe needs some butter when toasted, but who cares about that haha. I ordered a classic combo with slim sauce and a side of ranch. I will definitely come back.

I had a great experience at Slim Chickens in Helotes! The restaurant was clean and welcoming, making for a comfortable dining atmosphere. It was a bit tricky to find at night due to the parking lot lights being off, but once inside, I was met with excellent service.
Tristan and Andrea provided fantastic customer service, from helping with my order to delivering the food to my table. I ordered “The Chick” plate, which came with three crispy chicken tenders, fries, toast, and a drink—all for under $10, which is a great value! We also tried the fried pickles and the tender Mac bowl, both of which were delicious. The highlight of the meal was the desserts in a jar—definitely a must-try!
Overall, Slim Chickens in Helotes offers tasty food, friendly service, and a great atmosphere. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back!

I just tried the House wrap at Slim Chickens. What a disiapointment~ It was so small and there was hardly any chicken in it! It was mostly just bread and lettuce. They need to get better chefs! But, the lady taking my order was really nice and helpful. I wish I had order something different because I was really hungry!

Never actually been inside here as we normally spin through when we get into town on our way to see family. What I can say is the chicken here is absolutely Delicious. We love all the sauces and their ranch is top shelf. I tried their garlic bread on this most recent trip and Yum buttery and fluffy and delicious. I also found it to be pretty reasonably priced for a good amount of food. We are a family of five so that’s a great find. We will definitely be making this a usual stop when passing through the Helotes area.

I ordered the Chick’s meal with Slims sauce. The tenders, fries, and sauce are really good. The toast is like lightly toasted Wonder bread, or in other words, mid.
The drive thru service was friendly, but took a while. It was about a 5-8 minute wait at the window, but our food came out hot and fresh, so the tradeoff went in my favor. I’d eat here again.

I feel so sad reviewing this but I hope someone from the store sees it and they can find ways to improve. I was so excited to visit this place because it was my husband’s first time at a Slims Chicken restaurant. Yet, unfortunately since the beginning customer service wasn’t great. Not once did the staff smile or exchanged any pleasantries. As we waited for the food (about 20 – 30 minutes) I went to the restroom to wash my hands and as soon as I went in, I got a foul smell. Not sure when was the last time they cleaned them. Once food arrived, I noticed there was a stand of hair in one of my chicken tenders No joke, I almost puked. I guess it’s true what they say: You can tell how clean a kitchen is by how clean their restrooms are. Ugh, I’m just so disappointed. The size of the chicken tenders weren’t great but at least my husband’s meal was good to him.

Chris provided exceptional customer service and gave us a break down of the menu. Tenders were on point, not dry or overcooked. Wing were amazing, wish they had lemon pepper and seems that they are aware however they are working on it. They have that good ice too! I would highly recommend this place to family and friends.

I’m still not entirely sold on this place. First review but food service and quality is inconsistent. Today strips were piping hot and delicious but wings were a bit tough and “overfried”. I roast my wings at home and they fall off the bone. Not so much here. Fries were good, but the slaw seemed a day old as it was too moist/mushy as it had stayed in dressing to long. It’s a Thursday and I feel like this made yesterday morning or possible Tuesday. Great slaw is still a bit crunchy but nicely dressed. Bathroom (men’s) needs a little more TLC and upkeep, photos tell the tail.
