Stopped for lunch while touring the area. I got the chef special beef n vegetable soup. The beef and the flavor was delicious. Not very many veggies. I thought the menu was limited but was happy with the soup and salad. Service was quick and friendly. Hubs got the chef salad, it was good but a bit spicy.

The hotel we stayed at advertise for this restaurant and it did not disappoint. Joseph our server was very pleasant easy to talk to and gave great suggestions. I had the cheeseburger soup was tasted just like it sounds. It was delicious. My wife had pulled pork while I had a ribeye. My wife also had the ranch fries very unique and very tasty. One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time from start to finish.

Best ribs I’ve ever had!! Serious! They supplied a knife, but it was not necessary. Our server Craig suggested the steak or ribs. I was hesitant but so thankful I listened. We also had the filet mignon, which was cooked perfectly to order. The drinks were delicious. Craig was an attentive server with the perfect amount of personality. I had the baked potato with everything… next time, I’ll just get it with butter as the everything has a cheese layer that was a bit thick for me. We also had a side of mashed potatoes that had the cheese. Maybe that’s a thing in SD. This meal will be memorable for the meat, service, and location. This is a must go restaurant.

Food was delicious! This place was recommended by a local. They said their ribs were fantastic. They were right! Their bbq sauce tasted great too! We also had their Gunslinger Eggrolls. Delicious! Staff was very friendly. The restaurant has a little box where you can tip the chefs. We definitely did because they are cooking some great food!

Best ribs I’ve ever had! Tender, fall off the bone flavorful and absolutely delicious! Mac and cheese side was yummy too! Salad was fresh. Server was sweet and attentive!!! All around 5 star experience!!!

Our waitress was excellent, but unfortunately, the quality of the meal was deeply disappointing. First and foremost, I found a beetle in my salad. When I alerted our waitress, rather than making any effort to make things right, our meal was not compensated at all, despite the bill soaring over $100. We only left a tip because our server was nice, not because of the service or quality.
Additionally, I have diagnosed celiac disease and made this abundantly clear the moment we were seated. We were told the General Manager also has celiac disease, and I was explicitly told they would be cautious about cross-contamination. Yet, the first salad I received contained croutons, which was sent back. Then, to add insult to injury, the second salad I received was infested with a bug, as clearly shown in my review. This is utterly unacceptable.
When my salmon (labelled gluten-free on the menu) was served, a glaze was brought out and we were told, “We don’t know if this has gluten, so we put it on the side.” If there’s even a hint of doubt about a product’s gluten content, it should NOT be added to a dish for someone with celiac disease. That’s basic for any responsible restaurant.
Overall, I felt uneasy and completely let down by this experience. The level of negligence and disregard is staggering. Sadly, we will not be returning. I was genuinely excited to dine here, especially since it seemed among the very few options with gluten-free choices in Deadwood. The hour and a half wait just to get a table was frustrating and added to the overall disappointment.
